Current Issue 6 Features List

The current list of features for Issue 6: "Along Came a Spider" can be found in the following mainboard forum post: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.ph...o=&fpart=1&vc=1

New Zones
As they become available to the players of City of Villains, the following PvP Zones will also open up for player of City of Heroes:

• Bloody Bay
This is a PvP Zone for Villains and Heroes with a minimum level to entry set at 15.

• Siren’s Call
This is a PvP Zone for Villains and Heroes with a minimum level to entry set at 20.

• Warburg
This is a Free-For-All Battle Zone for Villains and Heroes with a minimum level to entry set at 30.

Arena – New Gladiator Battles!
Collect all new Gladiator Badges to create a host of new pets you can battle in any of the Paragon City Arenas!

Names
The number of characters allowed in the name will be increased to 20!

Super Groups
There will be all new SG Badges and an upgrade to the SG permissions system.

Tech Changes
City of Heroes will now support 3D Sound, have added Visual FX Upgrades and Dual CPU Performance Enhancement.

Costume Creator
Drop down menus are just a part of the UI upgrades for the costume creator.

Pets
We’ve added an all new Pet Window for managing your pets.

Trade Window Upgrades
Trading with your teammates will be quicker and easier with the new UI in place.

Beyond that, there are tons of little tweaks and visual changes all around – so come check them out soon on the test server.

There will be other features available if you have both CoH and CoV, obviously.

City of Heroes/Villains
Onion - L50 - Katana/Super Reflexes/Body Mastery Scrapper
Scotch Bonnet Girl - L50 - Fire Aura/Fire Melee/Pyre Mastery Tanker
RonJ73 - L50 - Stone/Energy Aura Brute
Aurora Australis - L41 - Willpower/Energy Melee Tanker

So it sounds as if Enhancement Diversification will be in its own patch and not part of the I6 release?

That was discussed in that thread. It WILL be part of I6. Apparently that "little thing" fell under the "a lot of tweaks" category.

They're expecting I6 to be on the test server tomorrow (the 20th).

Just another bit of loopholes they use to save their own skin... ED will screw with the game so badly I'm not renewing my account until I hear positive things about it...

Yeah, seriously. I think we {as in the members/staffers(mostly members :D) of Gameamp} post enough negetive thoughts. Howabout some positive thoughts?

I like the PvP zones much better than arenas, because they are wide open and you don't have to wait for a fight. (For all those Arena fans, Gladiator fights are fun, at least in CoV.)

And before I get back to making a video for my sg in EVEN MORE of my free time, I'd just like to point out: CUPPAJO HAS A NEW AVATAR!!! FINALLY!!! lmfao

Yes. You can only have 1 free respec at any given time. So if you have one banked now, use it if you want, otherwise it'll be lost.

Thats not true. I have 4 RESPECS right now with ChronoX. Now if I Could only sell them to the highest bidder. :)

I am excited about the new features that are coming with issue
6 even though they are doing the enhancement thing, All everyone need to remember is that it is a game and the gm's are just trying new was to make the game better for all who play. My sgand myself are already tring to decide where we want out sg base and how to decorate it lol It is a game you are meant to have fun not to worry with the new changes that are made just deal with them and continue playing with friends that you otherwise may not have

That should be only one *free* respec at any given time. The trial respecs are counted seperately.

We're both correct.

You can have 1 respec for each of the respec trials. Which you apparently have.

You can only have 1 *FREE* respec at any given time. This was made clear to everyone when they gave us the Anniversary respec back in April.

Bases are a feature of City of Villains. If you want bases, yes, you have to buy City of Villains.

It should be noted that the list of features is only what was approved for release (i.e. there's likely a bunch more to it). When Cuppa makes posts like that, it's outside the normal info distribution channels.

I wish they would let us change our names. If they were 20 letters long when I made Rhinestone Cowgirl, I wouldn't have had to cut letters to make it fit. (She's in game as "Rinson Cowgrl.") I might have to rebuild her just so I can have the name I want, but she's my highest toon right now.

Okay had to read Cuppa's comments about loading COV and test. I was hoping the test and the beta would connect, meaning you could test PvP with heroes and villains looks like we have to wait till live for that (though i know we can already villain vs villain)

You DON'T need CoV to be APART of your sg's base. You DO need it to MAKE one. If you are the only leader of your sg, promote someone with both games, so they can make a base for you.

Does the I6 respec get issued when it goes live? I need to make a new toon to duo with my brother. If it create the character now, before I6, will I get a respec for it when I6 goes live even though he was created AFTER the respec was announced and I downloaded the update?

According to CuppaJo, I6 is scheduled to go live on Thursday. As everyone knows we will be getting a free respec so if you are still holding onto the last freebie, better use it or the new one will replace it.
