Ok I think it's could be nice if everyone can tell something about him, just to know what kind of ppl play GW :D
I'm 16 and I'm from Québec, so english isn't my fist language as I'm sure you already realise hehe. My favorite band are KoRn, Metallica, Rammstein, Orgy, System of a Down and Marylin Manson.
Before GW I have play Nwn, wc3, starcraft, t4c and baldur's gate
and it's really me on the pict (yea Freeride rock :D and Ski is better then snowboard :P)

This is my first MMORPG, because I don't want to fork out a monthly fee. I'm just finishing highschool this month, and will likely move onto an arts course with some kind of emphasis on games graphics design.

I'm 22 yrs old female, from Quebec also, so my first language is french and my english is OK (i think). I used to play nwn, warcraft and age of empires but ever since gw came out, i only play gw :)
I'm in my last yr of university. I listen to hardcore and death metal music and some time a little bit of techno/house.

Hello fellow quebeckers! (not neglecting the others, tho) I too live in Quebec but I'm native of Scotland. I'm married with a french woman so I speak french as much as english.
I'm 29 and I am a retired military pilot (retired because of injury) I currently own a small music recording and production studio and I work on stage crews around the province. I like to play fusion jazz but I am currently working on a goth rock album.
I started playing RPGs at the age of 9 on Vic 20 and Tandy COCO 3. I loved Baldurs gate series but I odore Planescape Torment. I'm also a huge fan of Call of Duty for which I have been in a "guild" for a while. I played D2 extensively until GW came out. I played the first Everquest to the point I had nausea just thinking of it :)
Nice post! I'm glad to see ppls who don't live far from me too!

Wow, I guess I'll be the first yank to post here. If you wanna know how old I am or where I live just check my profile. The one thing it doesn't tell you is that I am a guy.
As for gaming: I am making a poor attempt at playing Battlefield 2 and Quake 4 but since I started playing GW I have almost no time for any other game.
Also have an XBox, PS2, PSP. Used to have a Gamecube, Gameboy Adv SP. And I work (second job part time) at EBGames (soon to be Gamestop).
A little joke as a parting shot. In florida they have this joke about yankees:
What's the difference between a yankee and a damn yankee?
A yankee comes to Florida to visit then goes home. A damn yankee comes to Florida to stay.
I suppose you could apply that to any country/state you live in. ;-)

22 year old male currently serving in the United States Army and damn proud of it. Originally from michigan but moved to virginia for new look on life. Own a xbox, ps2, gamecube, gameboy sp, and gamegear lol, yah i still have that bad boy. I'm a total geek, but the thing is i dont really fit the so called stereo-type, bc i'm 6'5 240lbs lol most of my friends never knew that i was so involved with video games, they always thought i was a jock. Anyways i play halo 1 & 2, diablo 1 & 2, counter strike, Half-life 1 & 2, F.E.A.R., all the Quakes, all the Dooms, Command and Conquer, Starcraft, Warcraft, GW, Icewind Dale 1 & 2, man i could go on forever but pretty much every game i think of i have played and/or owned lol. Ok so whos next?

Lets see I am a 20 y.o. male. Work as an EMT on an ambulance. Actuallly I'm doing this on the rig, happen to be stationed near a coffee shop. I do metal sculpture on the side cause EMT's make very little money. I am a dork to an unimaginable degree. I like anime, collect comic books, play video games obviously and I'll stop there. My left arm is numb because I was stabbed and a nerve was severed. I play Bass. And I am slightly afraid of, and hate, racoons they are too smart for their own good.

Oh, I wish it were that easy. They make us pay for the consoles just like everyone else (and I don't have the cash for one right now). It is the only item in the store we don't get an employee discount on, the console. Maybe that will change once we fully become Gamestop. Any Gamestop employees out there? ;)

hmmmm, Male, Kentucky, US, really really old, likely oldest here... Dept. manager in an auto parts manufacturing facility... never ever liked RPG/RTS games, refused to play them untill many of my friends from another 'guild' started playing, since it isnt pay to play, and since it is somewhat different than games like warcraft, i got addicted *sigh* Most my playing is on the PC, not console (Too old to get used to the dexterity required on the console controllers, well, i did play atari 3600, atari 5600, and nintendo :P ) Really like to play Unreal Tournament 04, Spearhead, Vietcong, Farcry, etc... 1st person shooter fan to the extreme :)
Comp Sci degree from Univ of Cincinnati, before there was such a thing (had to get a math/comp sci degree :P
Learned to program on an IBM mainframe with punch cards :S had no other interface devices untill my Sr year. ooo, btw, when you punch 1000 cards, dont drop em, and pray the card reader dont shred one in the middle :P

male, 16, minnesota, ummm first mmorpg, but xbox and ps2 are pretty cool. I got pretty high in the red alert 2 ranks for a while, then i quit it. Ive beat both Baulders gate games, and the first champions, havnt beat return to arms yet though. I produce electronic music, loving it, i like a little rap and rock, some bands like, as cities burn, mike jones, thrice, emery, tiesto. I really like a lot of genres. Well besides school, ughh, i play soccer, swim, and attempt at picking up chicks, lol. Typical teenager. I used to like anime, wow, lol, but its too much money and idk. Used to skate, and yeah. also very much into computers, starting to build a custom one right now, although financial support isnt high. Upgraded this crappy HP and that what i have been using.

Supposedly I have been playing video games since I was 2. I have a computer that is as tall as one of my nieces. Still have my Nintendo, Atari, Super Nintendo, N64, Playstation, PS1, PS2, gamecube.
I am very active in sports and music. Played alto sax, violin, piano for 10 years, guitar for 6, percussion, and choir for 3. Tennis, soccer, rugby, football, basketball...no teams though. But I do take boxing seriously. :D

Hey there, some nice people out there, but i guess im the most unique being that im on a totally different Continent... 20 year old Arab male, living in the United Arab Emirates (anyone heard of dubai??) first mmorpg, wanted to play WoW but was too cheap, currently working and training in an apprentiship program in Aircraft Engineering (Emirates Airlines anyone?) , own a ps2 game boy advance, a PC, and , erm, MY OWN CAR :D what else could i say? :) anyways any more Arabs out there? allright then guys take care.

Hey, Male 17 Years old, Finishing Grade 12 and as soon as thats done Im going to finish taking my military courses

I live in the great city of Chicago, Illinois in the U.S. I'm the senior software engineer for a company based near the city. I work with C++, C#, all forms of SQL, some VB.NET, to build Windows apps, Unix apps, databases, ASP and ASP.NET systems, and some other...stuff. I hate drawing diagrams! Been gaming since 8 and programming for real since 14. While I do try to spend a lot of time socializing, partying, and hanging around with friends, I inevitably get sucked into my geek pursuits, which I've categorized based on how geeky I get with each one:
Geek Tier 1:
Design/Programming (duh)
Computer Hardware/System Building/Tinkering with electronics
Gaming
Geek Tier 2:
Music (I don't play anything actively, but almost everyone I know does...) Everything from classical to hard rock that's good (which is a small percentage of what's out there). I go see A TON of shows and concerts...Chicago is good like that. =)
Movies/Film - GW has interfered with this lately, but I watch a lot of movies...attend all-nighter film marathons at local art theaters, etc.
Literature - Especially classic lit. and fantasy
Science and Engineering in general.
Geek Tier 3:
International (and domestic) travel.
Art, some TV, Animation in general.
I tend to be a laid-back, silly person who doesn't take things too seriously (especially myself). Oh, and my neck hurts.

about me... 26 male Ohio, U.S.A. currently workin a job not worth mentioning hoping to scrape enough money together or fiancial aide together to attend U.K. or U.C. University for business administration or something finance related and hopefully pickup photoshop in that time and can start doing that on the side(making money selling prints of pics). Mostly i play GW or mess around makin desktop pics in Bryce.

Wow, i've got the same birthday as you, well maybe you've got the same as me, as i was born in '86.
I'm a male, from a small town in Ontario, Canada. I didn't really game that much before, other than ut2004, some rental console games, and mostly just sports games, so Guild Wars is my first online rpg.
I love hockey(montreal canadiens), but do not play it anymore, play soccer, and i skateboard as well. My favourite band at the moment is Silverstein, and other favourites include, Underoath, Senses Fail, Alexisonfire and Story of the Year.

Names Gary Logan ill be 23 this month. I live in pennsylvania But am 100% Irish. Im an offspring of stowaways. Ive been into mmorpgs since 97 with the release of ultima online. Im sure this was the first but ic ould be wrong. Ive played Ultima,DAOC,Lineage,Ragnorak,guildwars,d2,knight,eq,some really bad one si found on downloads.com....we will skip those.Well many others. Im currently beta testing a new mmorpg. Im sorry cant release any info just yet. But i will sureley post some once im allowed.My favorite game of all time is socom2. I was behind on rent a couple months back and was forced to sell my ps2 therefore i cannot indulge in socom 3 which i have sitting right in front of me. Im a huge music/film critic so i woont mention any im into. I just reformatted my hdd so i dont plan on spell checking this either (sorry). Ive played most every game with the same group of people since 97 and few we picked up along tthe way. www.fearthelegion.com...I like long walks on the beach and rollerblad....Nevermind my last sentence. I think i spend more time on these boards than playing gw. Im currently working for myself as a unix specialist IE: means people hire me as a sub contractor to do what i enjoy doing. I allso would like to add that i have made alot of friends on these forums,and i am grateful to gameamp for that. Im currently engaged and set to wed on may 5th of 06. I couldnt be much happier. ......And btw...she hates guildwars.

Add 1 more to the female pile, and another to the, ahem, older pile. Though not as old as punch card guy! :)
Been playing video games since we had an Intellivision set. And computer games since I was too young to play them. Leisure Suit Larry played by a, like 8 year old, or old text games like Nord and Bert Couldn't Make Heads of Tails of It (and I didn't know what a pun was), or Nine Princes in Amber or Hitchhiker's Guide by someone who hasn't read them. I'm currently only interested in Halo, Half Life, and Myst (though haven't gotten Myst V yet). And of course Guild Wars. I don't play any other MMORPGs since I like the upfront costs of GW vs the montly of everything else. I used to play on MUSHs and MOOs about, oh dear, 8-10 years ago.
I work in services Marketing trying to use my MIS degree as much as possible. Everything else is profiled :)

Started playing games since oh about the time the wheel came out. lol
I love games. Right now we have a xbox with a new one on the way. 8D I cant wait. Of course Guild Wars rocks so it will be hard to decide what to play. I will probaly have to arm wrestle my husband every night to find out who gets to play what. Its great haveing a husband gamer.

Im 21, male, in Tennessee.
I am studying Graphic design in college (senior this year), but I have been producing trance since I was a kid (younger than the kid I am now.) I am relaxed and chill, originally from Norway, but my family moved to the United States when I was 16.
Previously played a lot of Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, Half Life, Counter Strike, Starcraft, etc etc etc ... you get the idea, I love first person shooters and strategy. Guildwars is just somthing I stumbled upon and became totally addicted to. If you want to know more: www.jeffandvik.com
