i am a lvl 20 healing monk and i just got new armor and now i am trying to find a weapon. is it better to have a wand and another item or a staff with upgrades. can someone tell me which is better and which items specificly are the best. your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

I feel It comes down to what kind of Monk you are. 55 monk uses a rod/sword/axe and the -50 hp focus Item. I carry a rod and a staff, My staff is a collector staff and adds 20% speed in smiting and smiting skill recharge and a rod that does the same with healing. This way dpending what Im doing I get the faster casting and recharge.(Mainly Healing) I picked up a staff the other night that is Unusal as it covers smiting protection and healing. (Unusaly to me maybe others have seen one like it in there adventures.)
Hope this shines a little light on the subject for you, my advice carry a good staff and Rod + Focus item.

All on preference man. If you like what you see on a green staff, go ahead. If you find something more to your liking, go right ahead.

Personally I dont like the greens, Thought they rocked untill I got Worth(less) Rod and Icon & Yakslapper. They made me some Money back. I go with either a collectors or if you get a good staff in a drop you can upgrade then go with it. Like Mann said Personal preferance.

Just out of curiosity, where did you find the 20% imp cast speed and 20% imp skill recharge using Healing Prayers rod, Wynter? I've been looking for one for my monk for a long time, but have never seen one on a collector list. I don't care about damage, though, so if it isn't max that doesn't matter to me.

go HERE, scroll down to the monk, and the initials you see are specific crystal desert collectors, that have scrolls, wands, staffs, etc, and what they require for trade...

That might have been helpful, UCCat, but I'm looking for a rod with at least 20% in one, if not both. I already have the +27 energy Ankh, but my rod is a max gold 16% imp cast speed healing rod, but I would prefer an imp skill recharge one, which I haven't been able to find. In fact, I haven't seen a single healing rod at a collector anywhere.
