Suggesting that the descrption or "Buuuuuuuurn" be moved form Warlocks to Mages. :-) Mages are the fire weilders. Warlocks could be something like "Demons and life sucking and darkness, Oh, MY!"

Okay finally in the game and I made a mage as the first character. I like his range with his fireball and freeze attacks.
The leveling up stuff is weird. I'm still trying to figure out how I can wear strong items. Said I needed more proficiency on some items. How do I increase my proficiency? By leveling or using items more?
All the best,
Mike

Mages can only wear cloth. They'll only be able to wear cloth throughout the game.
Classes like warrior can wear plate (at 40), mail, leather and cloth, but mages only get the lowest of low.
Mage's are great for crowd control and aoe, but overall, I'm a melee fan =)

Nogame you backstabbing sneaky rogue, you! Nerf rogues I say! Nerf 'em!
I have to agree with him, though, I'm more the melee player in this game. I like a toon that can take a hit or two and still keep swinging.

I think the Shamans are my fav caster so far. They have some cool spells and can take a beating.

Well, I have played a Rouge, a warrior, a mage, a warlock, a priest and a shaman. What am I missing? Oh Paladins and Hunters. I have no clue what I am going to do come live release. I love all the classes...Maybe some dice rolling will be in order.

Wmb....sounds like you have quite a problem there....lol. You will find with mages as you get bigger it gets easier. Which cannot be said for other classes because as they get bigger mobs get harder to kill. Trust me its worth it.
