New Halloween Setting

Logging on last Night brought a smile to my face with the new updates. First thing I noticed was everyone was wearing there headgear, Secondly the ability to turn your cape on and off. Then I made a trip to droks.... WOW is all I could say. I wish they would leave Droks and Lions Arch as they are, or introduce a new town just like it. Anyway What did everyone else think of the halloween settings? Would you prefer to see Droks and Lions back to its original state? Would you like to see a new town that has the halloween theme all the time? Would like to hear eveyones thoughts and opinions.

Logged on last night...I saw a little downloading going on, so I thought "ahhh....the frog was right...halloween update, has to be"

I started in ToA and didn't see anything, so I asked and everyone said Drok's, Lion's Arch, and ToPK.

Loved the updates. All pumped about them. I went crazy when I saw them. They should definitely keep these updates on seperate servers so you can go to them whenever you want...far after Halloween I think a lot of people would dig this too.

DOn't worry UC, it'll probably be there for the whole weekend.
But it's still a good excuse to leave work for home early :-P

hehe, leave work-nah....

Just put an announcement that the server will be slow today due to updates in the software. Then lock your door-keep a curled eyebrow, look busy, then log on to GW. :-)

I didnt go to LA or ToPK, I just went to Drok's to meet a friend, was busy skill-capping.....

I liked the ship with ghost flying all around by Glint's statue. I also like the "replacement' of Droknar's statue.

Oh it is so cool!!! The Candy Corn at Lion's Arch ("Mad King's Guard") are HENCHIES!!!!!!! AAAAA!!!

My husband and I grabbed a few and went outside and played. :P

wow, lol, it would be funny if they did this for like every holiday, lmao. Fathers day, lol, henchies are like businessmen... Well i think the update is cool, it gives the game a new spice to it and lets people know the design team is still very much interested in GW. nice

I think they did a great job in the towns,shockingly great desgins. Fits Halloween wonderfully,but in my opinion I think Loins Arch look much more better. I think that they should turn it off after Halloween though, it wont have much meaning afterwards. I look forward to Christmas hopefully they will have a theme for it too. =P

The updates are awesome but I don't think they should be around year-round. I say this becasue if it was year-round then the novelty would wear off and it would be "Oh, look...a skeleton as a guard." instead of "COOL!! Everything so different!!"

I hope they do one for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I want to see a Giant Turkey for Thanksgiving, thus giving me an excuse to bust out my Sundering Longbow of Giant Turkeyslaying. :D

i was watching those mad kings guards and they seem to use elite skills. didnt recognise one of them wondered if anyone noticed this as well.

I went out farming solo with one of those mad kings guards, I just wanted to check out what they were about, after raising bone minions several times the mad kings guard started to do it too-it made me wonder if they are set to start to mimic you if they follow you around for a while?

I wouldn't like to see this theme set somewhere all year round, gives us something to look forward to next halloween

I would diffently like to see a town with a Halloween theme to it. Maybe add a couple of quest there like trick or treating and Costum hunt. XD

u CAN wear a pumpkin :P, get it at the new collector( ascalon is best, cheapest and easiest items)
u can also let a ghost scare u or get drunk or stand on fire

Yep, what he said. Although I haven't seen what's different with the collector in Ascalon - I've just been to the one at Lion's Arch.

For a pumpkin head, get Squash Serum. It doesn't last long though. The "ghost in the box" is really the coolest - that's the one that the ghost comes out of you and says "boo."

ye the mad kings guard are actually not bad took 4 of em out with my ranger, and we kicked some titan ass =) although u shouldt try to take on to many with them.
this halloween theme is really great =) it realy got me in the mood to go to a halloween party in a pub or something tonight

Yeah, those Mad King Guards are great. I took them out with my ranger and killed a bunch of Tengu. They used Bone Minions on the dead almost instantly after death. Those guys are wicked lvl 12 henchies, they should keep them around. :D

I must say, and I dont mean this to sound rude in any way. Its just the dumbest idea ive ever heard. I mean I allready cant wait for this thing to end. Ive experienced lag the last few days. Ladies and gentlemen I "NEVER" lag. My connection is grand. And my pc is godlike. Im so annoyed with the spaming and the dancing. And the lets get a party started nonsense in town. I must say this was a unique and definatly nicely down holiday update. But why in gods name would youw ant it year round? And even without the lag and annoying people. Why in all honesty would anet take a wizard/knight style game and transform it into disneyland? I just can make any sense of this year round statement. Again I have no intent to sound rude. I just dont know how else to type this.

Just wondering if you guys all saw the talking corpse in Lion's Arch just as you enter the Merchant area. Hes hilarious. Also, if you go by the storage there is a transformed tengu there. It took me a few seconds to get it but its funny. Everywhere there are transformed Krytans that look like monsters. Then you get the transformed Tengu that looks like a krytan. :-)

I knew that someone up there was reading this forum when my carefully describes rout to the parch seller outside yaks was stripped of his parchment. and one by one the cool ideas have been nerfed out wood became more expencive and rune traders started to disguies what they sold for.
and merchents became meaner than rune sellers. this pumpkin crown was the all confirming proof i was wating for.
the gods/frogs are spying on us but for the greater good. yay go pumpkin hat
