Mesmer/Warrior With Illusinary Weaponry?

HI guys.
Like 2 weeks ago, i was with my w/m doing pvp. Ive see someone a mesmer/warrior, using illusinary weaponery, damn he was kicking ass. He killed me easily , i was in ascalon lvl 10 , with drok armor, and he killed me very fast. Can sum1 tell me how this skill work? Ive read it but am not till sure about it, and mebbe , do sum1 have and idea about his build? Am lost, and thinking about doing 1 after seeing this, but am not sure about this skill.

well first off, droks armor in ascalon is why the devs need to hurry up and nerf that. it will turn off all of the enojoyment of the newer players wanting to pvp, without having some idiots running around in droks armor thinking they are god. your droks armor does nothing for you against necros and mesmers. you got down spelled and owned, just to show you that droks armor sucks in ascalon arena. warriors, eles (some ele spells) and rangers are the ONLY thing you can protect against. anything else you are dead.

Firstly, I don't mean to nag but going into Ascalon Arena with droks armour on is classed as cheating.

Secondly, Using skills advanced well beyond the area is also considered cheating, so he is in the wrong too.

Illusionary weaponry (Elite): For 30 seconds you deal no damage in melee, but whenever you attack in melee target foe takes 8-40 damage.

This damage ignores armour. So with high level illusion magic and using a skill such as frenzy (attacking 33% faster) large amounts of damage are done in a very short time.

Edgwalkers is coming.

I know which Mesmer/Warrior you are talking about. :) Because for the past few weeks in ascalon arena, I've faced him one on one with my warrior.

But as Balth said, it is considered cheating. However, I brought droknar's back to ascalon too to fight against it. However, if I find no one else with droknar's armor, I switch armor right away. :) Sure, it's a pain. But makes it more of a challenge and more enjoyable to the new players.

Lol That Guy Was On My Team Cause I Got Bored and DiD Ascalon Arena he Was good we had a 20 streak then someone went afk....LoL

Droknar's Armor in the Ascalon Arena is cheating, but people do it. It doesn't bother me that people do it, it's their money to spend, and if that's the way they want to feel good (by ruining other people's games) then it's fine with me.

Damage Control, you don't need to capitalize every word.

at least sum1 give me a lil bit of information, why do u people do waist your time to tell it cheating....everybody know it...and almost everybody do it...don't bytch on me as i was the only 1 who do this...

bring an enchantment shatter. problem solved. funny that this build became so popular for a while, because I fear a shutdown/drain mesmer a lot more than an IW user.

This week I encountered not just one but two IW mesmers (the other twice) during the same run on the Ascalon arena. My E/R grilled them each time (the first almost got me by surprise). The weakness of IW (in addition of it being a chant) is that of any warrior attack. If you cannot touch your target you're useless. What I really hate are drok necs.

Edit: and just to make a point, my character has not been to Droks or anywhere nearby (none of my characters have been run there).

hey hey, well i must agree, i guess this build sux, i've did it, at first, my build was awesome, i was lovin it, except about, the attack dosen't connect on enemy, so no ad, but anyway ive been going with this char, when ive reach quarrel falls, my build was suxky, yes i was doing dmg, but mes don't have enought def and still i wasn't doing that much damage, a normal warrior with a sword should do about the same, and + he would be able to use his ad skills. So i really not recommand this. So if u wanna try , only cr8 it on pvp carater, not in story line!

mes/wariors might "suck" as you all recently put it.. but overall the stategy doesnt suck, with the right team.. or even not in some cases the high amount of damage is very worthwhile.
I'll make a suggestion too... try wa/mes

I say that this build sux compare to a normal warrior, i didnt say it sux at all. It fun to use at first, but without ad, you lose a big point there, but your idea about war/mes is still a good idea, i think it would work better this way, but i means i was disapointed about this build, i was sure i was going to do better
