I'll sell you a thorgals shield for 1K, which I bet is about the cheapest you'll ever find (unless I lost sight of the prices by a mile)
It's pretty much the lowest of the best shields, but its maxed, and you'll prob like it being a new player w/mo.

Well it's not in the weapon or sheild you use. It's in the way you fight, using you skills wisely can componsate for having a crap sword and sheild, for example, A typical wor/mk build uses mending for most of the game.(You can get mending from the Kryta Ambasador just outside of ascolon. this is after pre) it basicly gives you constant Hp regain then just start fighting. Start out with basic enemies around ascolon.(using sever artery then gash can quickly kill an enemy (except stone 1's they r immune) Then move on to the charr around piken (it's to the north west of ascolon.) Oh yah if you wana do really well early on save you money for Ascolon armor from the armor trader, it will make the game a lot eayser in the beginning. it's a little pricy but if you can get the cash it's well worth it. So yah i donno if it helps but i tryed lol. If it did then give me some crd plz :) lol

I just realised I might not have been that helpfull :s
Add me in game: Postal reace / postal reac / ... I'll help you with whatever you need there.
And as soon as you finished the game, or atleast gotten far, I can run youre 2nd char to key locations, for free, so you dont have to do EVRYTHING over. ;) (I just cant run droknar --Highest lvl armor forge-- though, for that I CAN refer you to a friend of mine but I doubt he'll do it for free)

Cash is exactly why I would recommend against doing the run with your first character. It's totally up to you, of course, but my thought has always been that you'll get the most out of GW by playing through with your first guy, then really getting into the picky details of the game when your first guy has already paved the way. Whatever you do, enjoy the game!

I agree with NeoElasticman. Unfortunately, people who get run to Drok's with their first char, are given a max weapon, and are powerleveled tend to become n00bs, and no one likes a n00b. A n00b is defined as someone who, for one reason or another, has a high-level character without having the skill to complement it. Personally, I feel that a n00b is a person who didn't learn the game while they were a newb. Acting like a newb in high-level places where everyone should be an expert is bad.
Basically, the best way for you to get money is to go back to the Ascalon region and do all the quests and missions that you missed, then do all the quests and missions you missed in the Northern Shiverpeaks, then Kryta, then the Jungle, then the Desert. When you've done all that, feel free to go get yourself some Drok's armor. You've earned it.
