there is none. it depends on your class, your playing style, and so many other factors...start with your profession, and which skills stand out for you?

There are two Ultimate Weapons in this game, they're not represented by pieces of programming code though, they come from somewhere else.
The first is called Player-Skill, the second is called Team-Play. It's a proven fact that a maxed out weapon with 'perfect upgrades', even when combined with the best armor the game has to offer, stands no chance in hell against these two.
MMORPG (Roleplaying): Mostly Men Online Role-Playing Girls
MMORPG (Acheivement): Miserable Malcontents Online Rehashing Past Glories
MMORPG (PvP): Macho Men Obviously Really Prefer Griefing
MMORPG (itemization): Misers May Obfuscate Recently Purchased Gold
MMORPG (Social): Virtual Worlds with Virtual Wealth and achievements, but with Real People with Real Feelings.

There is no such thing as a perfect/Godly weapon. It just makes people think that they are buying something awesome but probably arnt.
A perfect weapon would have every upgrade on it, have no req and be max damage (or more).
Yesterday when I was with Lani someone was saying they were selling 'The best weapon in GW' :P

Although I think the perfect wepon is situational, that templating needs an ajustment since maximum bonuses are +20% all the time. They are just nearly impossible to find. +15% is the lowest ideal bonus.

technicly the lowest req for a max item is 7, so that would be ideal, or "perfect". although perfection is something impossible to achieve with some many variants and factors

My lost 15>50% 10% adrenaline +30 health Fellblade isn't any better than my friends 15% Stance Lengthens Bleeding Gladius.
It's a matter of preference and understanding.

The warrior doesn't choose the blade...the blade chooses the warrior...
Something that can be used here...You can find a very good weapon, yes but if you use axes and you find a very good sword, that sword is to you crap and only good to sell.
Also the weapon needs to fit your skills.Like what can a W/mo runner do with a Poisoners Longsword of Charrslaying with dmg+15<50% and dmg+15%vs Charr(example) nothing actually...a Ultimate weapon for those should be Long sword of Shelter/defence or sumthing...it is variable from person to person. I use a full tanzit set on my warrior and never found or saw better gear that would fit my way of fighting, but other warriors prefer other axes and think this set is crap...
The best Weapon is the weapon that is additional to you skills and way of fighting...
Like said before: the weapon is only a tool to help the players Gaming skills nd techniques...

So tell me how was it corny? Lani is right. Team play and player skill are the two things that make one succeed in this game.

ye its all depends upon your circumstances - i mean i'm currently using a 2 axe setup on my w/mo (both shocking, max dmg, gold, 9 req)
Set 1: +14% >50% + armour +7 (vs physical) (coupled with a max shield +8 vs peircing)
Set 2: +12% <50% + axe mastery +1 (chance 19%) (coupled with a thorgalls shield)
now many ppl look at them and think - nah they aint max bonuses, theirs better shields etc... but with my playin style they are perfect, for the 1st 50% of my life i have +15 armour basically on my weaps vs warriors with swords and axes, whilst i still do extra damage. Then when my health drops i have the axe with the slightly lower dmg bonus and the improved skills rating to keep the pressure on whilst thorgalls shield absorbs most of the dmg and allows me to heal.
works wonders with my playing style. When coupled with a good team/monk tis virtually unstoppable (or it has been so far)

Nah, I do not coach teams. Don't have the patience with little runts not wanting to cooperate :-)
It may be a cliché, it is in fact. But ever wonder how come that clichés become clichées? It's usually because they're almost universal truths :-)
But you're right when it comes to stuff like "Cooperative Missions" or "Team fights" only a complete dunce would expect cooperation and teamplay not to be something that might possibly be beneficial to winning.
Edit: Fubar on quotes.

Speaking of 'Ultimate' weapons, which usually have add-on mods like grips, hafts, etc. There was a guy in The Henge of Denravi trying to sell a +14% Deathsbane bow grip for..(drum roll please)
5 freak'n K!!
thats 6% below maximum.
BTW, what does a +20% Deathsbane bow grip go for?
