Why not W/Me, the baddest of the bunch? (Baddest in the sense of delivering total pwnage.)

Edit: I'm an ele primary and in a normal engagement I may throw a Blinding Flash or something other to the general direction of a W, then ignore him/her altogether until everybody else has been taken care of, but if there's a W/Me I take notice and provide a royal treatment, just because (a) the choice by itself tells something about the expected skill of the player, and (b) if (s)he's skilled enough (s)he can beat me six ways to Sunday, in stark contrast to a W/Mo which I serve grilled at my own convenience.

Regardless of choice, if you want something that's shiny, and that packs a punch, you'll go Earth ele. Aftershock is an amazing skill, and combined with other Warrior skills (or other Ele ones, should you find them pleasing). The KD is good, Aftershock has a casting time of about 3/4 seconds I believe.

W/N

Doubtful, really. I sincerely think this to be a bad choice. It's not even as fun as the W/E.

W/R

You could go IWAY, since that's a pretty good build too. I speak of a modified IWAY, since the basic IWAY build everyone (and their brother uses) is retarded.

W/N is ok but you have to know what skills to use since you only get 20 energy to work with. So you'll probably either be a healer by consuming corpses or a minion master and have little minions helping you chip away at your opponent's health. you can even throw in a bit of degen in there if you want. I tried this out but found it really wasn't for me because i hate relying on other monks for help unless i really need it..so i stuck with the good old w/mo not because of the farming but because i really..really..really...don't like having to rely on the team monk who could go afk and not tell you or whatnot and i'd rather not die the second the monk stops healing.

well heres my top 5 for rpg

1.W/MO
avantage: u can live longer and best for farming

2.W/E if u have zelulas or wht ever its called and use tactics(4th best fror farming)
avantage:put up strong armor or use after shock

3.W/N same thing
avantage: use bone minions to help u and blood renewal to recover energy then healing signet(2nd best for farming)

4.W/R ur pet can be a big help if u have the right beast mastery skills(3rd best for farming)

5.W/ME idk cause i havent realy tried a W/MES and never though of it, but i think its a best way to take out bosses (5th best for farming)

and hey i have a q, which is better? STRENGTH or TATICS?

Wa/Ele builds are usually used in pvp because they use a hammer/earth combo, using knockdowns from Hammer Mastery followed up by Aftershock and similar spells that deal more damage against characters on the ground. However, in any circumstance Earth-elemental powers can be helpful for added armor, especially if you know the enemies are going to stay on you so the reduced movement isn't a problem, and Wards can add strength to your whole party, especially when combined with Tactics-based shouts such as Watch Yourself!, Shields Up!, and Charge! (Ward against foes for 50% slower movement on enemies + 25% faster movement on you = your team is hard to keep in range of attacks).

Water-elemental spells can also be used to slow down and catch up to enemies so you can attack them more easily. There are also spells such as Armor of Mist that significantly increase armor and movement speed on your part, as well as other Wards available to use (Ward against Harm is the main one, though it is elite).

Air elemental spells are largely useful to take on other Warrior-type opponents that have high Armor, due to the large number of spells in this Element that ignore armor.

Fire-elemental powers can be used to deal some extra damage at a range before closing on opponents, to finish off a spellcaster that is fleeing you when they're near death, or, in pve, to chase melee enemies away from you or a team Monk with AoE damage over time spells like Fire Storm.

In any case, a Wa/Ele using a weapon with an Elemental damage mod can also increase their attack strength with the Conjure (element) spells, which also vastly reduces the effectiveness of Reversal of Fortune (since the relatively minor damage from Conjure happens first when you hit the target, Reversal takes that as the damage, then the greater damage from the actual attack hits an unprotected foe).

Wa/Ra combos can make use of Beast Mastery to give themselves more bodies to use for tanking as well as more damage, Wilderness Survival for skills like Traps, Apply Poison, and Troll Unguent, and Marksmanship to give themselves some extra ranged combat power. Various spirits can also be used to help yourself and your teammates; a prepared team designed to make use of otherwise little-used Spirits can be very powerful, for instance a team of Mes/Wa or Wa/Mes characters with Illusionary Weaponry taking advantage of Fertile Season's Health and armor boost while they ignore the enemies' armor.

Wa/Ne can be excellent allies against Minion Factories simply because they can cast Necrotic Transversal or Consume Corpst and deny enemies of corpses. Without corpses, enemy Necromancers are often all but ineffectual. Their life stealing abilities can help Monks keep people healthy to a certain degree, but energy limitations usually stops this from being too effective. However, a Wa/Ne casting Mark of Pain on their target and then using Flurry while they're being attacked by large numbers of enemy melee attackers can cause massive damage or break an enemy formation in pve.

Still, you should really consider Wa/Me. There are any number of nasty combos in here; the popular IW build, using Illusionary Weaponry along with attack speed buffs to deal massive damage regardless of armor, is very powerful. Also, a Wa/Me using Elemental Resistance for long periods of time will have at least 120 armor vs. Elemental damage and about 80 vs. physical, which makes them extremely durable. Furthermore, Mesmer's Energy denial and manipulation spells make them very irritating to enemy casters, and no one like an enemy Inspired Enchantment-ing or Inspired Hex-ing one of their elite skills and using it against them. As was said before, Wa/Me are uncommonly skilled players for the most part, but they can be truly devastating to anyone at all.

Well, you might want to try one of them, but don't dismiss Wa/Me. They're probably the hardest side class to play, but they're also the hardest to counter and most versatile. Oh well, choose one and try it, then maybe choose another and try it, too.

Depends...if you want to be a stance tank and just take hits for the team then tactics are better.. if you want to be an offensive warrior and not necessarily a tank and do alot of dmg then strength is better. If you want to be a balanced tank then a combination of both is good.

Being a W/N has its highlights set aside from mishaps

Example:

Shadow of Fear + Endure pain + Mark of Pain
+ Sever Artery + Final Thrust = Pwnage

Great combo when farming

And only uses 25 energy, you just gotta
know how to control yourself xD

I have never tryed W/N im about to make one and see how it goes!!! anyways so far what i did make I think that W/O is the best W has powerful attacks already and MO has great spells to help u !!!

Any of the three can have good dmg output as long as you know the warrior class and skills that compliment. For instance we know that Gale/shock Axe warrior or kd/as warrior can be used from W/E. We also know that Tigers fury warrior puts out some high dps for W/R. W/N even though overlooked can put out some great dmg as well. Keep in mind that dmg from a warrior dmg doesn't have to be specific to on target. Here is a W/N build I use on occasion for PVP.

W/N

-Virulence
-Sever Artery
-Galrath Slash
-Final Thrust
-Plague Touch
-Frenzy
-Sprint
-Rez

The idea is to spread disease to do overall dmg to the team. This can be done really easy because once you use Virulence (5 NRG and 15sec recharge) you disease and posion your target. Thus infecting yourself with it. Then you simply spread it to the other team and use Sever as well on different targets while charging up Adreniline. So you can spread serious pips of degen in a matter of seconds. Then whne your Galrath + Final Thrust is charged then spike Virulence > Galrath Slash > Final thrust = Target dead. As long as you continue to change targets and avoid hitting protected targets then you will be serious preasure on the monks. Not only do they have to spam condition removal they have to catch you on your spike. Use Plague Touch and Sever to comply with req. on Virulence. Plague Touch also ensure's that you are never blind or crippled which are the most devistating conditions to the warrior class.
