How to get alot of gold

when the new crappy pach came out, farming in dessert is hopeless now, you can take them in 3 groups but it takes soooo long time.

i have tried to farm trolls in drok but dident drop any good items.

So... Where is the good warming spots for W/MO now?

the trolls in droks dont drop very good stuff often but when they do drop a gold its very good and also the raven staffs are a good source of wood so just salavge then then i craft them into parchment for 20g at a crafter

Dont know if its just me but can get between 3-8 raven staves between dronks and copperhammer and 90% of them are clean max dmg staffs to, so some you can get more than wood/parchment for.

Think what he means is sell it to players too lazy to salvage for them selves, about 80g each was fair last time I looked.

The last time I did this, I made about 6k profit off of it, if I remember correctly. Anyway, the profit was enough to make it worthwhile. Only thing is, almost never farm, so the 250 wood I had I had been saving up for weeks.

usually you can wait and get 80g from the rare trader... u can usually get 90 to 100 g from individuals... the better money is actually in vellum IMHO

neither of these are quick money accumulators...but it's the way I like to do it... last vellum run I did I netted over 20K, parchment nets about 6K or so...all depending of couse on the size of the load... I usually wont do either untill i got at least 500 wood

Easiest way to get vellum is to get yourself wood and glittering dust, lots of it (it takes 5 of each for a vellum), leave Droknar's Forge into Talus Chute and go towards Camp Rankor. Shortly before the bottleneck that leads into a single path that leads to Rankor is a hut with a collector and materials crafter in front of it. The crafter will make Vellum for you if you give him 5 wood, 5 dust, and 20 gold.

I learned this myself while I was making materials for my monk's 6k tats. It did take a while to get the 1250 wood and dust that I needed for 250 vellums... All the people in Droknar's Forge thought I was joking ='(

A lot of people come into droks looking to buy armor with plenty of money (especially if they just paid for a run) but with little materials. Oftentimes, after a couple days of fighting and salvaging, I sit at the storage in Droks waiting for the announcements of who needs what and make decent money that way.

Farming in the desert isnt hopeless since the update, it's just a little harder. Yesterday i got 3 purple max dmg fiery dragon sword and a gold max dmg hammer in 1 run. The secret is to farm the griffons outside augury rock when you have favour of the gods, it gives you a better chance of getting good items.

my mathmatics can be pretty shot at times.
i worked out when i was making parch that it makes the wood worth around 7-10 gold or there abouts and i got 8-12 wood from many staffs.
the staffs in many cases where worth 100 gold so adding on the cost of making the parch. but then i was selling to the merchant (80 gold at the time ive seen it drop to 60).
70g/(5 wood + 22 gold) i used to make a profit im not sure i am now the price of wood changes the price of clean staffs remains the same.
velium 90g/(5 wood +5 glittering dust + 22 gold)
based on prices i saw at the rare material trader just now.

if you want to buy velium its 190 and parch is 170 the materials trader must have fast cars and luxury condos somewhere but ive not met a more patient man in guildwars.

personally sure i would make parch if i wanted scars for something. i would just save making wood for when my inventory gets full. if you do turn over a profit its going to be around 10%-20% i think if your a "WTS parch" type of person vellium you may get 120 i think its overratted and takes time to do. see how much you get by doing and id on everything you pick up and you make more proffit early on in the game than later on in the game from wood.

edit : im gonna be prooved wrong on this i can feel it.

Ok^^ I just overlooked some of the post and all i can say is^^
Fighthin Hydras in the dessert ist most valuable^^
for each run with my Monk/Warrior i get 4p each 20 min^^
that way I can buy many funny anduseless things for my other chars^^
What I wanted to say^^ you have to think about the 80Hp build and then there is not such thing like a problem in framning there^^
For low levels, i would recommedn farming in the Mainquest of "doors of Kryta" there you go straight left pickup the pig and go the secret path behind the little house, there are many undead and it was most valuable during the hallowen special;)
