I have mesmer (female) armor from drok's and it started out green. I'm just wondering how to dye it so it's RED not greenish red (looks pinkish)... If anyone knows please post an answer for me! I've been told red + black... Butas the price of black keeps going up and down I don't wanna buy it to try if it's not even going to work lol....
Again thanks, and I hope that there are more people out there that are wondering the same thing...
I read all the dye guides but most of them are for mixing dyes and what not!!! THANKS

You gotta use a Dye Remover on each piece before putting the red dye on.
Dye Remover can be bought at all Merchants
Hope thats help enough :)

I've tried that and still didn't get a true red... I'll try it again since remover is only 50gp...

Try combining two reds together then applying them, or maybe applying a silver and two reds.
I applied two silvers to my e/me's pyromancer armor and it came out VERY close to white.
Also, fyi, All dye remover does is remove any dyes that have been applied to the armor. For example, Warrior armor normally has bronze, brass, or gold parts, depending on your interpretation of the color. If you apply a dye remover to that armor, without applying any dye first, nothing will happen. However, if you apply say, green, to the warrior armor, you can use the dye remover to remove green and restore the original color.
Hope that helps.

Me armour is extremely hard to dye. This is made worse by the fact that there aren't very many of us around. I really want to get a rose pink for mine, but despite all my efforts I have yet to succeed. We should all post pics of our dye combos so that we have some sort of idea how things look on Me armour.

Have to contradict you there, for example the warrior platemail armor from droks starts blue in color when you buy it, if you then use dye remover it removes the blue colour to leave a gold color. This is true of a lot of armors in that to get the colour you want you have to remove the base color. Unfortunatly i dont believe the mesmer attire base color can be removed so colors which are added to the clothes will alwasy come out darker...

Yes, I'm trying to get a light pink on my mesmer, and if one of us finds it, we'll share.

Here is a pink mix that I rather love. It is Red+Purple. Hmm, it looks rather Purple in the image, but it looks Pink in the game. I'll try to get a better looking picture. ^^
Next is about the only true red I can get, without a green hue to it. It is Black+Red.

And after more fooling around, I have found a Rose Pink. ^^ Well, it looks more rosey in game that it does in the picture.
It is a mix of Red+Purple+Dye Remover

lol I ended up settling for a bright bubblegum type pink, but it only works on enchanter's. I'll post a screeny tomorrow of my mes in enchanter's and rogues (for which I've used the same dye combo).

Due to the nasty run in the UW last night I'm contemplating treating my mesmer to some new 15k armour.
The real question is what type of armour I should get her. She already has 15k rogue's, the collector's, and Drok's enchanter's.

You could wait a few weeks and see what Factions brings for mes 15k (we hardly got a glimpse of 15k's in preview).

Yeah I could, but I wonder how long it will take to have access to the 15k armour. If my guild goes Luxon, will I only have access to the Luxon mesmer armour? Will there only be one style of armour per faction despite of stats? So much of this stuff I really don't know... :(
15k enchanter's, I don't know how it would look on Luned, espcially when she already has the lovely 1.5k stuff - which is just the best on her.
I wonder if they will reskin it for factions??? 15k factions enchanter's could be nice... maybe...

I saw a mes running around in a pale pink the other day she said the colour was r + p + 3xs.
Has anyone tried this on Noble's or Virtuoso's?

That dye chart isn't the best because there is no pictures of the armor dyed, mesmer armor does dye very odd, because the base is green it does wierd things with the colors >.< my mesmer has 3black+1blue (15k enchanters) it's my favorite dye on mesmers, it's like navy blue :D here's a better dye chart that has pictures of the armor dyed

Enchanter Armor is still the best I'd say, unless you're going to be in melee. Enchanter gives you more energy, which is what a caster needs.
