Ah, mineral springs...
You'll be facing tons of Avicara there, and trying to pull small groups at a time sure helps there a lot. As for your team setup, basically anything that works in the southern shiverpeaks will work here too, even henchies can do good if you are patient.
Maybe you'd like to slow those birdies down a bit, or blind those nasty archers.
The bosses there seem to have a high tendency to rotate their locations, so that the best idea would be to walk a big circle, looking out for the birds you like to kill and cap from.
The map on this site sure helps there.
Oh, and pretty often you can find skill-capping groups for there, too, so if you don't mind the risk of getting some...aham...hasty players with you, it'll prolly get a bit easier to cut through those tengus.
Good luck hunting there!

Ahh victor wooten, a bass god:). I'm more partial to Ryan martine from mudyane or Cliff burton (my avatar)
p.s. In your sig, its Geddy Lee not Geti :)

Yes good advice but did you also know that you can infuse your armor in the mineral springs as well. If you find a cave with about 45 Ice Imps then you are in the right place go through a small cave up that slope and you will find a boss to kill to take the essence to the seer.
I got all my characters armor infused before doing Iron mines

tough place indeed. some of my ex guild members would say :
"in mineral springs, DP aint annoying, its a way of life."
but it has some good elites there. such as shield of judgement and well of power - one for every proffesion, 2 for elem (avicara + ice beast)

When you go, if you don't already have one of the elites, I recommend bringing 2 cap sigs. That way you can cap both primary and secondary elite skills inthe same run. It maybe a little rough starting out like that, but by the time you get 3 elites to play with, even with a 60%dp, the avicara aren't that difficult. This is the only way you would ever get to play with more than one elite on your skillbar at a time. :)

When i go there capping well of power i had to kill the entire region except the caves with the massive amount of ice imps. Its do able with henches but its a risk. It also seems to me they added 8 to 10 avicara fierces in the begin of mineral springs!! If you ve bad luck they block your way with 20 fierces. Than go back to portal and back in.

the zone itself is not difficult...me and a friend when i was lvl 10 capped a skill out there...nothing but avicara out there, with SOME tundra giants, ice imps, and ice golems. the map makes a complete circle, so just go for the whole run. also, if you have an ele, there is a collector there that collects avicara scalps for a godly flame artifact. There are two collectors in the zone, so keep a look out. When you first enter mineral springs, you will encounter 2-3 mobs of 4...and i do mean AS SOON AS YO ZONE...so be prepared to fight. The fight is relatively easy, and even if you lose, you will spawn past them. The skills capped in this zone can ONLY be capped in this zone...im not sure how youve missed it before haha...but dont be scared, its definately alot easier than most people think.

Cliff is good and so is Ryan, but they're metal basses whilst Victor is a funk bassist. proably my favorite and best all time would have to be Jaco Pastorius
I've been to Mineral springs and it wasn't to difficult. I did it whith henchies and I cleared out the entire zone. There is not alot of good drops there

Word of warning if uve done Hell's and got back to drok's again and taken Defend Droks of Glint. Remove it and get it after uve been to mineral spring's.
As having this quest will make getting ure Elites a whole lot harder especially if ure using hench.
As Defend droks is outta Citadel into mineral spring's, where the avarica have been replaced, and I won't spoil the surprise by telling u. :p

Also Now if you go to mineral springs and you can get past all the enemies until you reach the caves with ice imps then that cave (espicially if you have a 55hp monk build) you can farm em all and my get the rare drop of a IDS sword.

Mineral springs is a very interesting place. to gear up make sure you have an ss necro or a mm cos first lots of corpses so that wud be a good choice. secondly try and bring spells that increase your armour cos the avicaras tend to carry a lot of armour peircing arrows. make sure you also bring something like purge conditions because there are groups of pinesouls that trap the whole area around them. balanced stance wont be a bad choice either. and always make sure that you get the ardent first then the wise cos they tend to be really annoying.
about the cave. if you are going for infuse bring something to disrupt as the icebeast will spam mist form i belive which makes it really hard to kill. against imps if you have a mesmer primary or secondary bring elemental resistance because it will help a lot.
if you be careful and draw a small aggro you will be fine. I go through that place all the time being solo ids farmer so i know quite a bit about it.
PS. Make sure you bring keys but be careful because a lot of drops are purple and also have some cash handy as the cave has a statue inside it which you can put to good use if your area has favour.
good luck capping and farming.

and good to have someone along who can eat up the corpses. as if they get the well of power on one of the corpses thats it they have +5 energy regen.
as for capping it i must have gone out loads of times before i got it the bridge sems to be the best place keep to the west and its the fork that goes up over the other one if that makes sence.
allways like flea but base is not my feild of expertise.
