I have checked the maps on this site but can't find anywhere where grenth's balance or soul leech is. Can anyone tell me if they still are and where?

Grenth Balance won't be on a map, since it's inside Dragon's Lair mission. You'll get to it after ascension. If you've already ascended, check your map. It should be southeast of Droknar's Forge. Grenth Balance is the elite of the third boss, Facet of Darkness. You must kill the first 2 bosses, Facet of Light (monk boss) and Facet of Nature(ranger boss) to get to him. Good luck!

Oh...really?
My E/N is at hells precipe so ya I beat dragons lair just didn't know that he had it..Anyone know about soul leech?

You can get Soul Leech from a Dryder boss in Abaddon's Mouth, Goss Darkweb. He's supposed to be pretty far west.

Basically, getting them both and then testing them out to see which works better for you personally would be the best decision.
All it costs you is a max of 1000 gold and 1 skill point per signet of capture, which you can buy at skill trainers from the jungle area onwards.
Both the money and the skill point should come in quick enough for you to be able to get them both :)
Personally, I can't say much about Soul Leech as I never had it, but Grenth's Balance in its current form seems really situational, not bad but not too amazing either. You might call it a lifesaver in PvE...sometimes

Soul Leech is harder to get, but more useful, I think. Grenth's Balance won't do you much good unless you use it on a boss or something with lots of health.
Description of Grenth Balance: If target foe has more health than you, you gain half the difference (up to your maximum health), and that foe loses an equal amount. This is an elite skill.
The key thing here is "more health than you". Besides, it's only "half the difference", so it's not much. I think possible uses for this skill are: at the beginning of a boss fight, when your health is low, you have a low HP build (invinci monk),...
Using it on a normal enemy is useless, since it probably won't have more health than you do and even if it does, half the difference won't help that much either.
I can't comment on Soul Leech (haven't used it yet), but it seems like a good skill against casters.

When I was using a Necro in PvP I used Soul Leech a lot. A lot of casters didn't think much of it, since I don't think it's as well known as it's cousin Backfire, and didn't bother to remove it.
It's slightly less powerful than Backfire, but given that it heals you as well, I like it better. It also recharges 5 seconds faster than Backfire, casts 1 second quicker, and costs 5 less energy.

Well...I got grenth's balance simply because I do solo with my ele and needed skills that keep my health up.
