Am I the only player to get bad drops?

For some reason, whenever I go into the Underworld, or the Fissure of Woe or Sorrows Furnace, I am the only member of the group to consistently get bad drops. Even opening the chests to find "Rare" weapons they are usually rubbish.

Does anyone else finds this happens to them a lot, or am I the only one?

in over 30+ runs i have gotten a total of... 3 obsidean shards 2 chaos axes (one was purpel other was regular) 0 Felblades and 250+ piles of glittering dust.

Same here. I usually get purples and rares that are complete garbage. When I get fellblades and chaos axes they are white. I've only once gotten a rare with even slightly close to 'perfect' mods, and I've never gotten a green drop in countless SF runs.

Definitely not alone. =P

Thanks for that. I just wondered if there was a glitch in the system that meant I only get bad drops.

Obviously the glitch affects a few people....

I also feel your pain. Glittering dust is all I ever get, too. And when I get a weapon, not only is it not purple, it's also not the kind I want to use.

Never gotten a black dye, or any item that could sell for much. The only time I had luck was when I found a +21 health sword pommel that I sold for 15k.

Acually, i realli never get anything. In missions, i rarely get items. Where as others get like 500 things. Basically, the only times i get stuff is the unaccepted items. No one here is alone.

LOL nope you are not the only one to get bad drops. I remember one particularly lucky night in UW with a 5 player team, 12 ectos drop. Those 12 ecto were shared between 3 players. In missions I rarely get any drops either, except for dye, I get that all the time. But never any good weapons and, on the odd occasion some major runes.

I dont have that bad of luck but one of my friends is on a lucky run if he gets 5 charr hides between Piken and Courthouse. The thing I have noticed is that alot of those who have this bad luck have it in just about any game also.

I normally play Guild with two others most of the time so we end up swapping and sharing the drops anyway. Unless we find something that fits a character we have its normally take turns on who gets the next good drop.

My friend has so much bad luck in this way I normally salv out the realy good upgrade parts for him so he dont end up with a load of wood and not the +28health staff upgrade or something.

Some people wonder why I give them so much, it is coz they spent as much time out there as me looking for these things so we share. To be in a party like this is good as they find thing I need and I find things they need, kind of a one for all and all for one type thing.

LOL, strange thing is that I have so much luck with dye. It seems to me almost that some players have some sort of affinity. There is one guy in my guild who will commonly get at least one ecto everytime he goes to UW. I know another who seems to get shards like crazy, 18 in one FoW trip! Two days ago I came out of a mission with 4 silver dyes. My team thought I was incredibly lucky, I suppose to them I was, but the only other drops I got were those Orr emblems.
I remember the only time I got a superior rune, it was in the Aurora Glade mission and a gold armour drops for me. A guy in my group kept spamming the whisper channel because he wanted it. I told him no, it was my first drop for the mission, and he tells me he hasn't got a decent drop for two weeks. In six months of playing that was my first superior rune (only curses though) and I told him I wasn't going to part with it. Petty I know, but it is a constant reminder to me that the drops are suppose to be random.

lol, the best dropps i hav had are 3 obsidean shards and that dust crap.

other ppl in my groups get well nice things, but not me :'(

the thing that really irks me about drops in UW and FoW, is you get a gold item, but the stats are for a class that isn't what the staff's req are.

Example:
Gold Ghostly Staff
11-22 fire damage (req 11 fire)
Increased recharge time for Illusion Magic (7%chance)
Increased Casting time for Inspiration Magic (4%chance)

These items are the crappiest of all the gold items, seriously, why can't the staffs req correspond to the stats? It's stupid.

I know that this would be good for a elementalist acting as a mesmer, but the 11 fire req makes it hard to keep the attributes in Energy storage, fire, illusion, and inspiration. Drops should be more consistant with their stats.

I know this feeling. I opened a chest in SF to find a gold Holy Rod. After ID'ing it, I found it wanted 13 Healing Prayers and Increase in Fire Magic (chance 15%). What use is that? Waste of a Miners Key if you ask me.

I save some of my odder inherent bonus drops.

I mean you see some lengthens/quick recover from poison all the time, but the non-max bow I have with -2 received damage I find interesting!

I recently came across a non-max accursed staff (+9 energy 11-20) with quick recovery from dazed. I feel it might be useful to a caster in PvP if it gets some maxed upgrades, but I doubt I could pay someone to take it off my hands.

Ok. I take back what I said.

In the FoW earlier (with a good team), I got 5 shards, 3 keys and a black dye. From the chests, I got weapons which I sold for another 15k.

I reckon I made about 45k from that one run....

I seem to only get bad drops on my w/mo 18.

But on my n/me i get the best drops ever.Which is quite odd
