Just a word of caution to folks out there that may be considering the purchase of an Xbox 360. My son was in GameStop yesterday where the salesperson suggested staying away from Xbox 360 until they get some bugs worked out. It seems the console is prone to overheating and crashing. A quick search on the internet seems to confirm this.

I have heard of this as well. also another word of warning my wife saw today that people are selling empty boxes for over 500 bucks. the auction says 1 line that it is an empty box but everything else looks like they are selling the actual console. so if you want one from ebay be careful

I knew something like that would happen. All next gen consoles are rushed and not thoroughly tested(long term testing). I usually wait 6-8 months after a console launch to purchase mine, I hope Sony is giving themselves plenty of time with the PS3. Most people don't know that there is usually 2-4 versions of the same console due to hardware issues. I personally went thru 3 PS1's and 2 PS2's, now I buy replacement plans thru Best Buy anytime I buy electronic devices. Technology is great, but it can make life a living hell when it fails, like a bad video card or motherboard! If I can't have my CoV, you had better keep your distance, I might BITE!!

With the 360 already out, and bugs already being discovered, I think Sony might look over their hardware and release the PS3 at a later date. These hardware issues happen to many times. You'd think that the developers would learn from past mistakes.

Hmm. If only they had Issues for X-Box and PS like they do for CoH/CoH...
But then they'd have to nerf the consoles and that wouldn't be cool. Imagine that one. "X-Box 360 no longer has DVD playing capacity due to an issue nerf."
