Since I have updated to 1.12 I can no longer log into the account server. Now I can only play single player :( really boring. Any ideas how to fix this?

Just an update. I tried a full uninstall of Norton and BF2. Back to bare bones. Then I reinstalled BF2 (no Norton) followed by the Spec Op Mod and then the patch. STILL NO LUCK !!!! :(
I can only play single player mode with this stinking patch adn Mod.
Help me please.....I'm.....gurgle...gurlge... drowning in EA stupidity.

same thing is happening to me but i just wait for like 15min. and it logs me in then i can play but i cant get into BFHQ or it crashes so just try waiting like 10min and if that works just dont go in BFHQ
