Hi guyz, I am recently trying to save up for my necromancers FoW armor. I am wondering if any of you have some ecto that you could spare or you dont need and would like to sell to me cheaper then reg. I go into the UW regularily so i do try and work for it, dont get many drops and cannot afford the whole bit. This would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

with a question to give you ecto's (free or cheap)??
FoW armor ain't anything you can buy within the week dude,
even the first one not within 2-3 months
unless you are one of the lucky ones with a rare item drop
You are ment to save up for it
And you gotta have some patience...
Without patience you wont get anywhere
The whole deal about the FoW armor is some sort of "prestige"
For players who played long enough, saved good enough
and deserve the fow armor
The armor ain't meant to put up for sale on ebay (with account)
Or to go and look up all possible forums about GW to go and ask for free or cheap ecto's
I don't think your post has a lot of respect for fellow players, sorry, that's my opinion...
I got two ecto's for free ones...
But i helped out the guy i got them from a lot, and i didn't ask for them, he gave me them becoz I helped him out that much...
In my opinion, you're heading the wrong direction here

There is no presitge associated with Fissure Armor in my opinion....anyone can buy the gold they need to get the armor anytime they want. If I wanted fissure armor I coud get it tonight. People should only get it if they think it actually looks cool...if someone gets it because they think there is some "prestige" associated with it, they are greatly mistaken.

like i said, the armor is not ment to be bought on internet
neither is gold ment to be sold on internet
people who buy their stuff from ebay or another site.. i dont got any respect for
and like i said... this is only my humble opinion ;-)

How the heck are you going to buy all that ecto and shards in one day?
120 ectoplasms at 13k = 1560k. 120 shards at 3k = 360k. An account can only hold up to 1400k max.
I think it is great prestige + the traders might not even have that many since they have a limited global supply

i agree with u trib.
there is 2 ways to play every game, the hard way or the easy way.
and im sorry but i cant respect ppl who do it the easy way neither. it like buying a puzzlegame, or a solo rpg, and go straight on the web looking for a walkthru.
but sure, if thats how you want to play your games, be my guest, but dont say u have acomplished anything by buying all your stuff on the web.
but we are all different, and in the end its all about what you see when you look yourself in the mirror, do you want to see a guy/girl who walks through life on someone elses acomplishments, or do you want to make your own way through the world?

If your a loser and want to spend over a hundred bucks you could have fissure armor in one day. You just buy 1,000k off the internet, then go buy the ecto. Once you spend all of that money, buy more. Isn't really that hard to figure out people, but yea don't go and do it. Fissure armor is for the people that play this game as if it was a second life for them (which isn't bad unless they play it 24/7).
But yea going to a site and making your first post being "can i have free or cheaper ecto" isn't the best thing to do either.
(Please remember people....its just a game)

You shouldn't demerit what others have earned through hard work and dedication just because a minority of players will spend real cash to buy large amounts of ingame gold so they can swagger about town with all their shiny armour and weapons that they barely know how to use effectively.

personally i think fow armor is a waste of money since they have the same stats as armors in droknar. i would rather save the money to spend in chapter 2.

i dunno about minority... but quite honestly... I dont know of anyone who has gotten the armor legitimately... i.e. playing the game... People that were lucky to get the sellin price reset...maybe....only people I know that have gotten the armor, was via solo monking and rampant pillaging...

While i'm not a big fan of farming. Those spend their time farming with solo builds or whatever actually DO something to earn it. And I find it hard to believe that the only way to amass enough cash is through solo farming there are plenty of ways to make money. Group hunting in sorrows can make you quite a bit in a week. Anywhoo im in SF right now and the team are getting impatient :p

I used to want fissure armor, until people started advertising for buying online gold. Now i see no point to it. Its meant to work for months to be able to get now you can get it in like 10 mins, IMO bullshit, and thats all i have to say.

ermmmm, probably 20 times or so i guess... have completed a couple of the quests, explored quite a bit... even beat the 3 djinn once... been to the UW about as many times, maybe a few more, mostly in 6 to 8 person teams... usually with 4 trappers or a full trapper team... been around FoW less times, probably under 10.... y?

lol, i like to farm occasionally, and sometimes revisit areas beyond ToA and try to survive solo, did a few boss runs around sorrows, done a few mino runs, some ettin and troll runs....
boss runs were with full teams... others were solo or with a friend or two to keep busy...
what i have always been against, is specifically the solo completely invincible monk build... and the repeateded ataxe/smite runs... hour after hour... for months these people could do this, with 0% chance of dying.... that is what i have been against the entire time.

ah excellent...much more respect...i, too, aggree that not dying is not as challenging...but say griffon runs and mino runs...there is always a chance of dying...very nice though cat, maybe you should put that in your sig :D

I just farm because it's fun. It's nice to hava a load of griffs and mino pounding on you while they can't do any dmg because you have mist form! But yeah, dont beg for Ectos.
Only the super nurd 24/7 players got loads of ectos. And they aren't giving it away anyway.

First off, welcome. We are typically a lot more pleasant bunch than this. It just so happens that you touched on a subject likened to 'a can of worms'. Dont take it the wrong way. We're just passionate about the game, hehe. I know I am. :)

I agree. It is meant a just reward (prestige included) for those that have played a long time. The experience though is ruined by the 'extreme farming' and selling of gold online.

I agree with the farming. Although I did the solo monk bit for 2 reasons, I hardly do it anymore. The first reason, was I had to prove to myself that it could be done. I was so sceptical about the invisi build. I had to try it out. The 2nd, well, I'll keep that to myself. By the way-it was good to meet you in game. Sorry, I had to bug out quick. I had a few quests to finish with my son's character.
I hardly solo farm anymore because its soooooo much better when my friends are with me. The banter, the poking, and the light-heartenedness of it all. We goof up all the time and start calling each other newb, agro-magnet, dumb monkey, etc - its so much fun we were taking bets on who was gonna screw up first! Its a social event for me.
Just like Phoenix said, we are an ok bunch here.

we have a grand time farming together, especially on T/S, one of us will sneak off while the other is fighting...ang bring a running train of agro beasts to the other... funny stuff... especially when they see you on the radar, look up, and you are trailing a bunch of the desert scarabs after em running right to you...grand times, lol

lol, we dont allow cursing on our t/s server because it's got younger and family ears present... but i have been called a craphead a fair number of times... had tears rolling last time while out killing the sand drakes for fun... led about 40 scarabs back in a high speed chase while my buddy was soloing 2 drakes...if only i could of seen his real expression when he saw me coming, lmao

Having a FoW i think says pristege... It took my months to say up for mine.. and im not even dnoe yet.. im still 15 ectos short for my boots... so im still running around in my dragon boots lol.. so if anyone wants to give away free ectos.. give them to me lol.. jeez.. do it the old fashioned hard way like i did UW and FoW every single day.. for hours on end lol
