Has anyone seen this? I checked it out over the weekend. It was a fun little super hero movie, with some nice powers on display. I couldn't help relating them to COH powers. The gym teacher is basically a sonic blaster, and one of the main characters is a fire blaster. Of course there is super strength, flight, super speed, and other powers shown. The sidekicks had some funny powers, like the girl whose power was to change into a guinea pig.
My 50s:
On Champion
Cosmic Wizard - Rad/Rad Defender
On Freedom
Xenith the Evolved - Mind/FF Controller
On Infinity
Cosmic Wizard - MA/Invul Scrapper
Gon-Edain - WP/Stone Tank
On Virtue
Jonathan Sage - MA/Regen Scrapper
Members of Hyperforce, The JustUs League, and The Brotherhood of Bronze
And a host of alts on every server!

Saw it, LOVED IT!!! Great movie, Disney surprises again cause I didn't think they could top National Treasure anytime soon, but, they did. Granted they are two totally different types of movies, but, still they were put out by Disney.
Ok, I'll bore ya'll to tears...my favorite parts....
The girl with plant powers!! (plant/thorn in CoV)I wished they had let her powers come alive earlier in the movie, to me the best scene of the movie was when she called up her powers against the girl who was also the cheerleading squad.
The guy with the rock armor Very cool animation that should be put into the game...I want to transform like that!!
The lunch room fight Basic intro of Warren Peace...and I'm very jealous and hatefull that I didn't think up that name first in CoH or CoV!! Very cool that the madder he got the higher the flames climbed up his arms and when super strength boy threw the table and Warren slammed into the upper wall...OUCH! damn that looked like it hurt in real life!
The boy who melts Best power in the whole movie, too funny and the guy they picked to play the part was perfect! We need this power in the game!
I could go on and on...but, I won't...I don't want the masses rolling their eyes whenever I post after this! 8-)
All in all, a really good movie to kill a night with, although, I've killed many nights with it since it came out on DVD...I've watched it about 18 times so far.

I caught the movie a week or two back , coincidentally i watched it on the same day i ordered my copy of CoH , go figure. It was a pretty cool movie , sure some powers will seem rehashed but , hey , theres only so many powers you can come up with. Main dif tho , most people in the movie only have like , one power. Heck , some of them only have travel powers hahahaha.
Fun Fact - Warren Peace is an alteration of War and Peace ( the book ) , something to do with the fact that his mom and dad are in battle or whatever

Peace out!

I haven't been able to sit down and watch the whole movie yet, but my dad called me in to watch Bruce Campbell's scenes (the gym teacher) because he's one of my favorite actors. It looks pretty decent, especially for something made for the younger audience.

The best CoH moment was when the SS/Invulnerability tanker was tossed out the window just as he leveled, then came back with his new travel power.
Also, the name Warren Peace has been used by Garrison Keilor for many years. I'd be surprized if it wasn't taken on every server before Sky High came out.

Yeah i agree. Some of the powers did seem a little too COH. But where's the healing?? lol, dnt you think the head teacher is like a peacbringer type? i dunno. Warren Peace? War On Peace? i dunno. Depends how you say it, i'm english so i dunno. I'll say it different, lol! I think COH is gonna have to do animal shape shifting soon. Loads of heroes in the past can do it, i just wonder which archetype will be able to. Maybe one of the epic archetypes for COV will be an animal shapeshifter. Or maybe a new powerset for warshades. You know, i nictus formed with a ginny pig. tht'll be awesome!!

lmao, thats funny becoz i just watched Army of darkness last night ;-P
But, as all of u i compared the powers with CoH (i do that with every movie) ([the thing is rock/SS not Rock/Rock/ as i have been told in the past]), however i did not find it as fun as everyone else here did...
maybe im just a 16 yo old man...
<:'( i feel old....
And get that gawt danged skateboard off the sidewalk!! darn kids and ur rock 'em sock 'em... *continues grumbling*

I can see that... And I loved her line, "I'm not wonder woman you know."
Of course, for those who weren't kids in the '70s, Lynda Carter played Wonder Woman in the tv show of the same name.
I really did like the movie too. It was also nice to see Kurt Russell come full circle.
For those who did not live in the '70s and see Wonderful World of Disney as a kid, Kurt Russell did a bunch of Disney movies in his younger days.
Certainly on my list of movies to have in the player when I'm playing CoH, along with Mystery Men and some others. :-)

I must be an uber geek...I actually saw the movie in the theatre....I just enjoy Kurt Russel, for those of us from the 70's and longer lets not forget him as the jungle boy in his cameo on Gilligans Island
