I think buying gw gold on ebay or sites is RIDICOULUS.
Why should i waist my cash to help me in a game...i mean.....people that do buy money must really suck...iv'e never done it and i have 500k.......omfg.....y...

well...............i think it is stupid too because the following reasons:
1.they are stupid noobs
2.they don't actully enjoy playing the game..they just think they do
and
3.they are way too LAZY

agreed its silly to buy it online but i wouldnt go as far to call them noobs.
as it has already been posted by anet that people that buy it are funding organised crime and they are working on it but it will always be available, their is always a way to beat the system! (well atleast when the guy doing it is making rediculouse amounts of money).
people that buy it just cant be bothered to work on their characters and try different builds. (hence the reason for being able to change secondary professions!) on their character. they just want all the best things in the game but dont want or cant be bothered to explore and play on plain luck like 99% of the legit players.
little do they realise that it is not the items/armor or weapons that make them good players it is their ability to adapt and rise to challenges ingame like pvp for example, you never now what kind of opponent you are going to face untill you are in the battle and your not going to win purely because you are weilding a cristaline sword and eternal shield while your armor is fow dyed all black, infact youll most likly get owned in it if you go in to pvp thinking like that.
but enough of my babling about it, i just hope anet does somthing about the reall money for virtual gold soon as it seem to be on a very steep incline.

The problem with purchasing gold is that it affects the overall game economy and makes it much more difficult for Anet to make worthwhile changes.
If if weren't for that, I really wouldn't care because people are just cheating themselves out a great deal of the fun that comes from playing normally.
Note: There has been a rash of player bots whispering advertisement for purchasing coin. If you receive one of these, take a screenshot (PrintScreen Key) which shows the message. Then go to www.guildwars.com, click on support, then the topic "How do I report violations?" and follow the instructions.

Here's a good question, how many of the skilled people in PvP have bought their gold? I'm gonna guess it's a real slim percentage. You need the experience in order to use the gold well. Now, granted, there are a few people out there that are talented enough but still bought gold(waste of their talent, btw). And those people are smart enough to use their unearned gold well. They might kick butt in PvP, but the thing is, they depended on someone else to get them where they are.
I don't really care about the economy, if something is pricey, well than I either farm for it or just say, 'oh well'. you don't need all those high priced items to have fun in the game. Nobody's really gonna care too much if you spent 2 million on armor. a couple oohs and ahhs and that's it. The thing I care about is the honor(i'm so corny), I don't like depending on someone else so heavily like that.
I'd feel better showing off my Ford Ranger that I bought with my own money than showing off my Ford GT that my parents bought for me.

How ever, I don't think they are bots as such, because i started getting the whispers shortly after I registered on here. I now have 3 people in my ignore list
because they have whispered me with offers.

You've really got to pity the people who would throw away their own money for some fake money that you can earn by yourself, i know its faster but its just a waste of money!

Well this is in my opinion... I know im probably gonna get bad cred but im just annoyed with that subject. People have been arguing about this in gw for a while now.
I have never bougth money but i know alot of people who did. I do not think it's appropriate to call them NOOB or LAZY because some of them can not put the time and effort in the farming. You wont see them begging for money or weapons unlike others. The ones i know are actaully good and very helpful players. They just don't want to farm which I understand because it's really boring. They always come when help is needed instead of spending hours upon hours in farming like others do. This game is also about looks and it's nice to show off your armor.
And by the way, who's business is it if the person next to you decide on spending real money for gw gold. If they have money to waste how is that your business...
Since there is alot of business that specialize in selling gold or leveling up, dont you think ALOT of people actually do that...
