I was really hoping for some Christmas decorations for the base. There is not one tree, candle, wreath, fruitcake, flashy lights, or anything festive to decorate for our SuperGroup Christmas Party. Or any other holiday for that matter.

Meh, we got a jet pack, I can live with no decorations....we got a red, green and white jet pack!! It's nice to roll up a brand new character and have a travel power right from the start.
Although it's bugged, last night (12a-4a) when I was playing, we discovered it vanished when you logged off. I have no doubt a fix is either already done (haven't logged in today) or will be within a day or so coming.
It would be nice if they could at least put some kind of festive look into the game, but, the amount of coding that it would require would basically be a major update, so, I guess I can over look it. I'm kinda hoping they give the random inspriation gifts like they did last year...I have one hero that still has about 15 gifts in his tray (shows you how much I play that one!)
I wish they would have a winter monster like they did last year as well...something like a big evil Santa Claus that throws cash registers at us and has evil reindeer for pets. (yes, I love satirical humor)

Whatever happens for Christmas on CoH is better than whats happening here in Norwich. Instead of Christmas lights this year, in a vain attempt to be 'PC' they are being called 'Winter Festival Lights'. I have absolutely no problem with political correctness, but when people meddle with Christmas, that takes it too far.
So how about the 'Atheist local council-person meddler'? With the powers 'The Book' (can be thrown or hit with) and 'Rolling Heads' (special knock-down power).

well the jetpack bug is still a bug. All the toons I logged on with yesterday are missing theirs. I logged a different toon in today, he got it, and when I logged out and back in his was gone too. I guess I just get coal this year...

*sigh* Only if he gets to fight 'Pouting Zealot' with special 'Overreation Knee Jerk' (knockback kick) and 'Sonic Crybaby' (DoT) powers. The two could spawn somewhere in Atlas Park and walk towards the Atlas statue where they could fight and ruin everybody's good time. Sorry if this takes the thread down a political line everybody, but I'm getting real tired of this 'War on Christmas' bunk.
I think it would be really cool if you got the Christmas Tree option for Super Group bases with a special present for every group member under it. Super cool if instead of disappearing on Jan. 2, the tree would turn brown. Every group would then have to get somebody to take the tree and throw it into a pit in the Faultline. Maybe you could even get the option for a 'technology' tree that you would have to disassemble, pack in a box, and find storage for it.

Indeed I did, hope they dont come on Christmas Eve and I hope they last more than one day. Kinda think decorations would be avaialable all the time under 'decorations' in the add item menu of the base edit. But their vision is not mine...

I really don't spend enough time in my SG base to worry about holiday decorating. Although it would be pretty cool to have a huge tree that could be destroyed in a base raid.

Nothing says Christmas like Bing Crosby singing "White Christmas" while you thrash some baddies.
If you want to have some real fun they should let you have snowball fights in the PVP zones!!!
For an added kick they could add knockback to the snowball temp power.

I like the idea of the boom box playing X-mas music, That would be kinda cool and festive.
I'd like to see a story ark that had the Winter Lord as the end AV/Monster. Sort of like the Cronos Titan arc. Have it end up in one of those big outdoor train mission maps, and maybe an ambush in one of the arc missions so we could see him out in the open. I was actually hoping they were going to have him be in the Croatoa mission sets. Having him spawn all of the time was a bit overkill, but I always thought it was a cool monster to fight.
What I really want for X-mas........ COV. I still can't use our SG base....... =(
I think the jetpack is cool. One of my Scrappers is tech, and our SG colors for that group use the same green as the jetpack. It looks like I made him that way. I wish there were some way to get this permanently like an Epic power. My new level 6 Defender is very happy to get a travel power so early! I might actually run the Hollows mission set on him now. I'm sure I can get him to level 14 before the jetpack runs out in 30 days.
It'll be cool to see what else rolls out.

Thundar, I think that would be a great gift. Everyone gets access to bases for the Christmas season. I think that would make more people purchase CoV, if you give everyone a taste of the bases then take it away again.
Although that might cause less people to get it for Christmas gifts if they have it during the time before Christmas.

How 'bout if we dress up some of our Contacts in Christmas Elf costumes. It'd be great to see the Back Street Brawler in green tights and a santa hat. Or perhaps we could have a Santa hat temporarily added to the costume menu.

I'm just hoping all the Christmas stuff is over before my Christmas holidays start - I'm going off to Colorado! It would be a shame to miss anything big, I have heard about the winter lord and the Halloween events in the past.
Though we do have a laptop, it is nowhere near good enough to play CoH on, and I'm not sure I would easily get an internet connection for long enough. Anyhow, I wouldn't want a holiday that will already be spoiled to a certain extent by an essay I have to write to be spoiled further by a video game.
