The rocket pack is kool but beware it will go away after you log.. I know it is suppose to last 30days but I went to play with my toon again and it was gone and others are having the same problems

Yup...I lost it from toons that got them both yesterday and today...so sad...I hope they fix it soon.
Some folks are not having any problems though, either yesterday or today...weird...

The devs replied to this on the oficial forums , CuppaJo , to be exact. I guess they're working on it , maybe they'll extend the duration to make up for lost time ,hopefully.

I wonder how many heroes are going to not worry about getting a travel power now until the rocket goes away. I just created a new Earth/Trick Arrow Controller (Miss Switzerland) and my first thought was now I don't have to worry about travel power for awhile. We could have a lot of mid level characters without any travel power when the rocket pack goes away.
On another note, this is my first experience with the flight power. I am having a blast flying around with my different characters. I have a character with each of the travel powers except flight. It is nice to start flying toward a mission, and then you have time to type or get a drink and no aggro (as long as you are high enough).

This is why Fly is my favorite travel power. I used SJ for a while with my main, but respec'ed out of it when I started getting missions in Fire Base.

If you guys are talking about the rocket pack you buy from the guy in Siren's Call then the duration is 30 minutes not 30 days.

No, this is the temporary power everyone got for the Christmas season. It is supposed to last for 30 days.

By the way, if you want to set up a bind for the power it is called "Holiday Rocket Pack".
I set up: /bind j "powexec_name Holiday Rocket Pack"
Now I just hit the "j" key and it activates the rocket pack.

ok everyone. Did some researching for ya. Holiday jet packs are bugged out (as you know) so here is CuppaJo's response on it

As for the time that its good for. Positron answered with

3) 30 real time days (720 hours).
Inquiring minds wanna know! I imagine it's 1 or 2 (a jetpack that takes you all the way to 50 would really annoy people dumping end redux into Fly :grin: ) |

I have mine bound to the "f" key, so it's right next to my movement keys. I ain't walkin' nowhere, not even inside a mission! :D

I still have all mine. Making good use of them for the low level toons. Especially in the hollows!!!!

hehe, I didn't think about them sounding like slot machines till you mentioned it....lol
I've heard of another bug right now as well. It's one that may be avoidable. I had a friend respec his toon and lost all of his temp powers including the jet pack. Just an FYI. If you don't have to respec right now, I'd hold off if you are planning one.
He also bugged it with the devs and got a "We're working on it" responce, so they are aware of this one too. I'd still bug it if you have a problem with it. Working in a software support line, I know the squeaky wheel gets the grease. The more people that report the problem, the faster it gets attention. That, and the fact that you probably need to report it to get your own account corrected.

I have to say, the holiday rocket pack may be getting some complaints on the official boards, but I think it rocks. Was using it on my Mind Control/Kinetics guy this afternoon, and it was great. Almost made me forget about the fact that I can't get a travel power until lvl 16 because of my thinking I could get away with it with the kin secondary. :) Helped me speed around and get from level 12 to 14 in no time! Now maybe if I can get from level 14 to 28 (inertial damp) in 30 days...
