Well, I'm about to hit level eight with my Dark/Kinetic Corrupter, having taken Dark Blast, Transfusion, Gloom, Siphon Power. This opens me up to Tenebrous Tentacles and Dark Pit. I'm having issues about deciding which one to take, as level 10 has me taking Siphon Speed, 12 is Hover and 14th is flight (maybe not, cause I have the jetpack for now, so I may wait on it.) But either way I'll be going for a bit with only one of the two, Tents or Dark Pit, and I've no clue which is overall better.

First off, un-welcome to the site! I hope you find much evilness to your liking.
I have a dark/dark corrupter, and I really like the tentacles. They look cool, sound cool, and they are a pretty good AOE immobilize that does damage too. They recharge pretty fast, so if you have your hands full, you can keep recasting to keep part of the mob off your back. Of course, like all dark powers, there will be endurance issues. I always slot at least one end. red. on all my dark powers.
I've never taken dark pit, as it does no damage, but disorienting a mob could be useful too. Perhaps someone else can enlighten us both about this power.

I would agree the the tentacles are the way to go. I have dark pit on my defender and it is ok but the tentacles on my corrupter is much more useful. and yes they do look and sound cool.

Thanks, as this turned out to be more important than I thought when posting it originally - I actually only have room in my build for one of the two powers! 0_0 Tentacles it is.

I solo 85% of the time and with out tentecals (sp) This would not be possible. I use Moonbeam then Tar then tentcles then night fal and gloom and at 21 most mobs dont survive those that do means I took damage then twilight grasp and the emoperor in the back ground saying finish him

if you intend on soloing, I'd take dark pit. The disorientation effects are very nice when you just need a little time...
 I taste like Bread.

is it an AOE?
The howling twilight has a disorient in it for when I pull bad or something sees through my Shadow fall when using moonbeam. Does dark patch use less endo?

Twilight is a rez...the disorient isn't meant to be used as an attack really.
The pit is an AoE...you place it just like a tar patch...Use tenticles/Pit/Tar for a nasty combo...*shrugs*

I used the howling because thats all I have right now but if endo is reduced using dark I can see it I usually have enough time to cast moonbeam night fall and gloom before they regain control and drop tentecals I want to know will I see a difference with dark patch
