I thought it was going to be more "Phoenix Saga" (though they DO have Famke Jansen credited as "Jean Grey/Phoenix") where it looks like it's going to have quite a bit to do with the Morlocks. Either way, based on the cast, it looks like its going to be just as gripping as the first two.
I just hope the movie has a little more focus than the cast of characters is making it look like it's going to. Omega Red, M, Jamie Madrox, Bolivar Trask, The Morlocks...
Seems a bit unfocused, but we'll have to see how it goes.

I wanted to reply at 10am when it didn't work for me, but I figured it was my work computer....but it's got 256mb of ram and is fully updated on quicktime and all that...
Maybe it's something with our 'jobs' not wanting us to view illicit content...included bad ass X-Men previews..

Just in case anyone hasn't been following the comics- The Astonishing X-Men, currently being written by Joss Whedon, introduced Dr. Kavita Rao....... she creates a cure to the mutant gene. In the comic, her and Beast are old friends/colleagues, which creates some problems as Beast gets a sample to study and then starts thinking about using. Good scene actually where Wolverine catches Beast studying it and they start to beat the hell out of each other because Wolverine wants him to destroy it, and ends up with Emma Frost whipping em both in front of all the students. From the preiviews, it kinda looks like they might do the mutant cure storyline here, although in the comic there was an alien Ord of the Breakworld who had given Dr. Rao the info to stop an X-Man from destroying his homeworld....blah blah blah, so I doubt all of that will come into play. Just thought I would give everyone a heads up on Rao though, in case you didn't know.

This kinda bothers me. The whole "cure for mutation" thing. There's always been an ongoing parallel between the Marvel Universe Mutants and real world homosexuality. (Living in fear of "normal" people, the big "coming out" scene in X2 where Bobby tells his parents, the old Legacy Virus story line paralleling AIDS, as well as quite a few other things) By making a "cure" they're kind of cheapening that whole parallel. I'm not sure I like it. Although if anyone can pull it off well, Joss can.

Add me to that list of dissapointed in no Gambit. He's really the only character I wanted to see in the film. I gues 3rd time isn't always the charm, is it?

Doh! vid feeds arent working for me as well. But.. looking at the roster and judging by the footage appearing from just opening the site it does look interesting. Glad to see Colossus in there again... hopefully he will have a larger role in this film as opposed to the .3 second worth of him in the last movie.. (insert disappointed smiley). However, when they did "introduce" him it was pretty cool, tovarich!
