Okay so we setup a time on the Guardian Server for all level 45-50 heros help fight this thing. We must have had close to 100 heros and guess what. We lost!!!
This DE AV can deal you 1500 damage per hit people. He is about immune to everything and heals himself. This piece of jelly is really a piece of work if you ask me. From what I heard no one has killed him as of yet. Not ever sure he has been killed on test server yet.
We all hope to set another date to try again when we have more 45-50 heros on this server.
Who would have thought 100 heros wouldn't be another for one Archvillian!

from what I've heard Hamidon hasn't been killed yet. There was a video on the offical site (I think) that showed 100+ guys going at him and all getting squished like bugs on my car grille. They used this video to try to convince the Dev's that he was too tough... but I guess they've had no luck. I don't even think the test server has defeated him yet.
Maybe by the time you get ready for another raid on Hamidon I'll be up to 45 and I can come along... I'm sure the debt would be worth it to be part of the team that (hope) took down Hamidon :)

Yeah I don't think anyone has killed him. It was a lot of fun since we had 100 heros all going at Hammy. I do agree he is way to strong. I'm not even sure 200 heros could take him I dunno. I did get almost max debt which I'm working off still but it was really worth it. I had over 500k debt lol. It shall be nice to have another hero to help. You on the Guardian Server?

Why won't the devs listen to people when they say he is too strong, i mean i agree there should be bad guys that you need a group (or a couple of groups) to take out, but really 100 heros not being able to take him down is pretty rediclious. i'm sure the lag was insane w/ that many people, and i know there is a limit as to how many heros can be in a certain zone..... what is it going to take for the devs to fix this problem???

Hate to break this to y'all, but a SG on Triumph claims to have defeated Hamidon. I don't know when they supposedly did this, but there's quite a back-and-forth rant and rave session on the Triumph forum on the official CoH site.
The SG is Tactical Initiative, and they claim, among other things, that Triumph would be dead boring if they didn't exist :).
I guess you could try and contact them to get tips and tricks as to how they did it, but if they're like they sound on the forums (and not all ppl in this SG are going to be like this) they may either not tell you or tell you lies, and then tell you to bugger off.

from what i've heard it was the issue 1 that changed the hamidon... b/f that he was able to be taken out, and since they changed him noone has taken him out..... so i think that SG took him down b/f he was changed....

All I can say personally...is we had heros of all types. Defenders with FF, EMP, Blasters, Controllers, Tanks, Scappers you name it. We all healed each other etc etc and worked together very well.
We all were fighting him for 3 hours and finally gave up. So I don't believe some SG could take him out. No way and from what I have read in COH forums no one has defeated him with prove.

Hmmm...well that's pretty cool is thats true. How many heros did they have and what was their trick I wonder?
We know to kill green bub first so he can't heal himself then work him down but man.

Sadly I'm not on Guardian, I re-read your post after I'd posted... :(
Every video I've seen of anyone going at him usually ends with losts of debt and Hamidon just sitting there *smiling smugly to himself no doubt* if 100+ heroes can't take him down, with strategy and everything people can think of. Taking out his bubbles first then hacking away at him... which I've heard is the only way to make a dent in him, you have to take out all his bubbles... at least that's supported by that pic... no bubbles in sight.
I would like a shot at him, althought I'm too chicken to do it on the real server, I'd rather do it on the test server, then if I got in debt too bad I could just delete her ;) Anthough from teh sounds of it you need a full rack of revives. :)
And maybe after a few more patches, and a few more complaints from people (like all the cape children, if they ever make it that high) they'll make some arrangements. I mean he's supposed to be tough, he's one of the big baddies, but I think there comes a point where it's just getting insane. :)

Actually I don't think they ever did manage to beat him. TI has probably come the closest, but Dr. Mindstorm stated in a post on 8/25 that "He still hasn't been beaten on any server including the test server with 100 players or so on it." so I would have to assume he still has yet to beat it. I get the feeling from some of the server threads that around 50% is the closest they have come so far.

Good points. From people I have talked to who have done a raid fighting Hamidon is like a slide show. This is something that will probably only get worse when you add in 100+ fully pixilated, textured and flowing capes into the mix. Which...in an end run makes you have to wonder about how playable the game will be after the release of City of Villians where you may have vast numbers of heroes and villians going at it hehe.
