WHAT DO U THINK GUILD WARS SHOULD ADD,TAKE OUT,CHANGE,OR IMPROVE?
i made this topic just to make shure one of the arena net or guild war makers guys look at this and might improve on.
so this is all of ur ideas wht u think guild wars should have, well i would like them to improve the doppler ganger cause its like one of the easiest mission i ever done, i want them to make little bit more weapons and armor and improve the henchmen,i would DEFINITELY change the bonuse: like u can have experience but u should also earn gold like 1k or 500 gold
They need to make it longer or make a quest or a mission go there so less people get ran there and duel with this armor at lvl 5-10 its not right it makes the game less player vs player.
or make it have a lvl thing for it say lvl 15 for that armor.
Maybe they need to add more places on the map or add new monsters.

I think they should do plenty of things its just that they cant do any of them because of money. For example their character development is horrible right now. All the characters are really generalized and don't have the major distinctive ability. For example a ranger has Expertise but that affects energy which EVERYONE has. a mesmer has fast casting which affects the casting rate which everyone has. Also this game is too combat based and there is nothing to do except go out in a group of 8 and fight monsters and once you get tired of that then the game is more or less done for you unless your guild does alot of gvg. I was thinking that rangers should have stealth for example and eles should be able to upgrade spells more then they do now. and mesmers acting abilities and whatnot.
Of course this is just pointless typing because ANet will never be able to afford any changed without asking for a monthly fee but you know.. just venting frustration about the lack of character development in the game.

Character development will undoubtedly improve when Chapter 2 is released, and there is no real reason to nerf the Droknar's run - a simple armor limit and prevention of using an elite in the arena, or a level prerequisite on certain things could easily prevent that.

I'm not talking about adding a few more skills i mean adding traits to characters. Like take WoW or Runescape which is a free to play online MMO and you have so many different traits like Crafting and Fishing and whatnot and because of these you can do something other than just fighting and farming and it makes the game last longer. Right now there are no non-combat skills except for running of course but even that is combat related and when you get tired of fighting the same monsters over and over and pvping? what do you have left to do in GW?

1. Add Emotes for rank 1 and rank 2, like a sloth and a sheep.
2. Nerf IWAY so america can have favor more often :P
3. Allow Pvp Characters to change weapons around in town (such as changing your bow string from vamp to sundering) so they dont have to remake the character entirely
4. Add some more armor styles
5. Add new zones out in the middle of the ocean :)
6. I would really like it, and i think a lot of other people would to, if they put in an underwater pvp arena!! Where you wear helmets or enchantments (which are put on you as you enter the arena, not self casting enchantments) to breathe underwater. Imagine that swimming around shooting spells through reefs and fish swimming around. I just think it would be pretty sweet.
7. Add entire new weapon classes like..for a warrior you could add daggers or a spear (if thats not already gonna be on the assassin :P) and for ranger you could do like dual one-handed crossbows or something.
8. New pets, kinda bored of the spider by now. How bout we get birds that actually fly (like shoulder level) or big snakes or something.
9. IN GAME AUCTION - totally necessary! if you dont know why, just go to lions arch district one and try to have a conversation with someone using all talk
10. Allow us to chose weight of characters also, this will add character uniqueness
Those are my ideas, I really wanna work for guild wars lol i have thought of so many things for the Assassin.
Assassin could use a whip :P
1. Ankle Wrap - Whip Attack. Target foe becomes crippled for 3...15 seconds
2. Wrist Lash - Knocks weapon out of target foe's hands for 5 seconds and causes bleeding for 5...12 seconds
Or if not the warrior, the assassin could use the daggers
Dagger Storm - Throw 1..3 daggers at opponent which deal 5...15 damage each and cause Daze for 8 seconds
Swift Lash - run at 75% faster to target foe and deal +15 damage and cause target foe to bleed for 10 seconds.
Ritualist - uses staves
1. Tear in the rift - for ten seconds target foe and adjacent foes take 5 shadow damage per second, and become blinded for 10 seconds
2. Blood strike - deal 20...35 shadow damage to target foe and steal 5...10 health from foe and all adjacent foes

I would like to see true guild alliances, where you could have a chat tab to talk to your allied guilds. I have 4 PVE guilds (hogwarts houses) so trying to comunicate can be difficult. we have TS and Forums but not everyone uses them. Also would be nice if you could see who was online in the allied guilds

I think there DEFINATELY needs to be more character customization. I'm sick and tired of seeing 100 people that look EXACTLY like me every time I enter a city/trading area. I'm coming over from CoH/CoV and the customization there BLOWS AWAY any game I've ever seen before. And now to come to this...its like the coloring book of MMORPGs: pick the page (character) you want and color it in with whatever color you choose; the outline is already set and can't be changed.

Flying Monsters
Spears and Polearms
Auction House
Upgrade parts for wands and focus/shield
More skins for Weapons (so a short sword could look different of a gladius)
Guild Warehouse
Quests with non usual uses for skills (like power attack being able to break doors and water magics extinguish fires on a building)
Take out
Access to hi-lvl armor and elite skills by low-lvl chars
Change
Music: It makes me sleep sometimes, need something more fierce, more heroic
Improve
Male Elementalist Clothe Design (IMHO atm it suck)
The variety of armor, only 3 or 4 sets is not enough
The number of Character slots to (# of professions +2)
AI - its quite reasonable that intelligent creatures run tru warriors to attack weakest chars on the backrow, but agressive beasts and insects should attack everything on sight. Interrupting scorpions is not realystic AI too.
Sound: More voicework on magics and skills, henchman and iconic npcs (like Devona) with dubbed dialogues.

They need to let you do more with PvP characters. I like how they let your PvP characters participate in the winter events and even (eventually) craft candy cane weapons and offhands. But you still cant expand on your PvP characters armor or weapons. I think you should be able to go to FOW or UW with them and get money and drops from the mobs so you can actually spend something on the rune vendors at the arenas. Then you can use materials obtained to craft FOW armor.
Also about the Droks run, just leave it alone. Some people dont like playing extra hours to get their max armor on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, ... character. People like me just want to build a character they can use for PvP and play in the world asap. I've had 2 characters (my 2nd and 3rd) run to Droks and I plan on having my next character run aswell.
Also I dont think RPG characters get enough benefits over readily made PvP for the time they invest in them. I think after ascension you should have access to all skills you have unlocked for the 2 classes you ascended with then you can switch your secondaries and fight the doppleganger to use the skills unlocked for those classes as well. Also, make the doppleganger harder for crissakes.
Can I get a PC?

-WE NEED 1 VS 1.. that would totally rule GW.. settle a fued between u and some otherguy argueing with u.. that would rule...
-music should be changed.. its kind of boring need something faster and now like so boring lol
-plzplzplz.. take away korea's characters only skills.. they are too powerful.. itsl ike the old thunderclap before they nerfed it just can be repeated like 3x in a row

1vs1 is the worst idea. GUILD Wars is all about working together as a team. That would destroy part of the concept of the game. Who cares if someone thinks they are better than you, that doesn't matter. What matters is how well you work with others to obtain victory.
Can I get a PC?

I yhink they should add 3 new classes of characters you can use. 1. dwarf 2. elf (somehow in story) 3. good undead
and give them distinct propertys for classes and also add 5 more classes and they could get these things through 30 dollar expansion packs and i like the non battle skills and stuff idea

A big Yay! to more character customization. The one in CoH/V is a mini-game in itself. In fact I want to be a Hairdresser in Chapter 2 so please add that as a Profession. I wil refuse to dress Elves, and any 'brooding vampires struggling with their inner self and being good in the end'. Also all people with names that are variations on "Aragorn", "Darth something-or-other" and "Drizz't Do'Urden" will not be serviced in my beauty parlor.
A big "boo!" to any overused cliche's that all the MMORPGs have to pput up with :-)
On the requests for all the typical stuff you'll find in WoW and EQ2. If you want that, go play WoW or EQ2. Guild Wars is a different type of game. WoW and EQ2 are MMORPGs, ArenaNet makes every effort to not have Guild Wars called that. It's an MMOG.
WoW: MMORPG
EQ2: MMORPG
CoV: MMOG
GW: MMOG
Notice the missing 'RP's :-)
It stands to reason you'd not have some of the classic RPG features and some stuff classic RPGs don't have, total adaptability of your character for one.
GW could use some new features, several of which can be found in CoH/V, that would fit in with the general nature of the Guild Wars game genre. A genre of one so far. I'm thinking about Auction houses (already "promised" to appear in some way) and more customization of the Guild-Halls.
As for Crafting, it doesn't really have a place in an action oriented game like GW. That's another typical RPG feature we can do without. A slightly more sophisticated Upgrade/Mod system for weapons and armor would be nice though.
P.s. I'll be moving this thread to the Chapter 2 pre-release forum where it can play with all it's twin-like siblings. :-)

I will disagree with you Chuiu, because:
1) people use droks and elite skills on ascalon arena, givin then a big advantage on fresh chars that just left preasearing. Many people got this game for christmas, so there are really a flow of new players that will become frustated with RPG arenas.
2)Basically you want that a PVP char has access to all the stuff a RPG char does. This is nonsense. Its like "I want to an omelet without breaking an egg, because it takes time to break an egg"
The RPG mode is made for people who like to seize the gaming experience by itself. Evolve a character from preasearing tru ascension, make it grow in power, in the same time you learn its own ways is fantastic!
Thats there is exclusive RPG stuff, to distingish these characters. Getting FoW armor is an epic task, so much resources you have to spend on it, its not only money.
Many people dont like the PvE of GW, I truly cant understand why. Its fair fun and attractive gameplay, is much better that other MMOGs where you just sit on a place waiting for monsters to respawn.
3) Ascencion unlockin all skills is also another thing that should never be implemented. Why?
Look for the screenshots section, theres ways to ascending ppl on lvl7 !! (thanks to mission and map runners). Most of my chars LEAVE presearing on lvl7, and I dont do all and every quest.
IMHO, from your post I believe you just want to get access to all content of the game without too much effort.

What about a energy rune for everyone. Like the vigor rune. The energy rune could raise your energy like Minor=5 points or something. Major=10 points. Superior=15 points. I think this would be cool to have.

I would just love to see Storage come to the Guild Hall. I really don't like having to go to the Towns or Outposts to go to storage. specially when you always tend to spawn at the point fartherest from it.

I personally think it would be cool if you're a guild leader/officer or such theres a way to distinguish yourself from just the regular members (maybe just in GvG bc I guess there might not be a point for this during regular game play but whatever)...you know like something you can wear or a badge or something that shows your the leader or an officer...just me thinking...

Yeah. i'm sick of seeing ppl telling to make mounts and a LOT of stuff that it just doesn't fit on GW.
the best thing they WILL make will probaply be the new professions and Gems.
Gems might even become the new prop on our armor or to upgrade it.
Who cares about droknar's run? I never done it. i like to spent my time building my character instead.
All i want is bow strings and QUIVERS. We materialize our arrows from thin air ffs.
One more thing that should be added: Summons. at least for a certain time like the spirits. you summon an avatar to aid you in battle, it fades after X seconds.
