Need Help with ghost hunting

Well dosh dang it i need some help im trying to get the ghost hunting badges one at 50 and one at 100 ghosts but i dont know what the trapping ghosts actually means do i just defeat the ghosts as normal or is there an actual trap i have to use?

i was wondering if someone could please explain it for me

I haven't personally gotten this badge, BUT I have read up on it. First of all you will be hunting the pirate ghosts in Fort Hades in Port Oakes. Then you need to kill them in the traps laid out throughout the Fort. I would suggest using Teleport Foe on the pirate ghosts to set them nicely in a trap, and whacking them in said trap. From what I hear they stay pretty much put when they are getting the smack down laid on them in or near the traps. if you dont have Teleport Foe, find someone who does, and get the job done.

This is a kind of tricky thing to do I have done it to get Venuta unlocked and to do her missions. First of all the ghost only come out at night literally not cov night but actual night time. To get the badge you have to lure the ghosts near the traps at fort hedes in Port Oaks and kill them on or near it. It is a Difficult task that takes some time to accomplish. You also need to be careful because the ghost can spawn up to level 15. If you are trying to unlock Venuta you have to get this badge before hitting level 10. The problem with this is with the amount of ghosts you have to kill you will more than likely out level venuta by the time you get the badge. I was lucky enough to have some higher level SG members help me on this. I didn't get xp but I got the badge in a couple of hours and did not out level Venuta.

Yeah, as a follow up. I finally got both badges, and it took a couple hours. I agree with Vines. In order to get the badges to unlock the contact without outleveling it, you really need to go at it with a higher level person so that u can team and not get xp. Safer, easier, more possible (?). Concerning the spawn times, I have to disagree. It's not night time "real world"; it's night-CoV-time when they spawn. That's the way it happened for me, and the game is going on all over the place. I got it daytime West Coast US. Your mileage may vary though.

Also, there is a nice little alcove near the main gate where a couple of ghost patrols spawn. It's fairly easy to pull them to the traps even without TP Foe.

hmmn about the times I am on the east cost so maybe that makes a difference I was having trouble finding them and a sg member told me that they only spawn at actual night and that was when I did it. It's possible i just missed the ghost spawns during the daytime hours. Glad to hear you got your badges did you out level Venuta doing it?

Well thanx for the help i hav'nt had time to try any hunting yet.... the life of a super villain is a very hectic thing, although i have out lvld the contact by 4 lvls with my main is there any bonuses or extra badges to get from the contact by doing the missions because i could try with one of my other toons.

Also if you defeat a certain number of ghosts in a trap youll cause a whirlwind which will spew out like 10-15 ghosts and maybe even an Elite Boss pirate.

ouch on the deleting of the toon what level was he. I would be super p.o.'d if someone did that to me. the only thing you get from venuta is 2 souveniers but one is bugged so i only recieved one of them. I could petition to get it but I don't collect them as I do badges so I wasn't too heart broken about it.

The toon was a lvl 20 MERC MM i was just on the quest to get my cape :( ohwell you win some you lose some.... now where is that auto repeating nail gun.... ive got some limbs to nail down from a certain drunk friend.
