You know on the main GW site with the screenshots and all over the place there is that floating blonde scantily dressed lady? Who is she?

Its Gwen grown up, she used hair dye changed to blonde and is here to kill us all, no of course im just kidding, i have no idea of who it is, maybe the god Lyssa, or one of the other gods. nice find and question Nihil!

I'm pretty sure those pics are just concept and/or promotional art. No actual resemblance to anyone intented.
Then again, I might be wrong. In that case, I'd bet my money on the Gwen theory.. ;)

that video is ace imagine if we could play it in those graphics and the fightin looks cool
also if u listen to the person speakin as sounds as tho she is Gwen as she says "my father fought in the guild wars when i was a young child" and who do we see just at the end of the guild wars Gwen in pre searing(if u read the lore the guild wars was before the searing u play with the char it was when ascolon/orr and kryta was all at war with each other).
hmm i wonder if she is Gwen just with a different name hehe.
as for thw woman on the pics its just concept art that if u look above says concept art box so it might of been one of the choices they had for the game cover.

Oh and as for the new video that can't be devona necessarily. She's a warrior but in the video she is using two small swords like an assassin would and she's using stances that aren't common to warriors as well as light armor. That's unlike devona at all. Also her hair is short unlike in the game where she has long blonde hair. One more thing, i'd say it was gwen come back as the assassin class in chapter 2 but that wouldn't make sense since gwen had black hair and this one is blonde..but anything is possible since we didn't see the big flail weilding dude in the game yet so... yeah...but that video just raises more questions than it answers especially about that big Lord of the Rings rip off fort thing in the place with exploding volcanoes and hordes of enemies..
Oh Oh and she said the threat came from the west so those can't be the charr but those things do kind of look like grasping ghouls..so that could refer to the undead coming out of kryta..and if that's the case then that can't be gwen since she hasn't grown up yet at the time of the game.. but then it's devona but smaller and non-warrior-like?? ahh it's giving me a headache.. where's someone to explain this plot where you need them???

anyway, my bet is that the "floating lady" is actually an Assassin but im not sure yet

That might be true, but on the front of my game box all there was was a female necromancer, and the closest character in the game that she could be is eve the henchie from and after THK, not an important char. Maybe floting lady is just a new ele henchie

You can also watch that video by popping in your GuildWars cd, either will do, then going to "GuildWars Cinematic".
I watched that so many times when I didn't have the system requirements to play GuildWars yet. Also, on the second link that Nihil put up, it showed those warrior people, you may notice that they are also at the top of this website. And that female warrior IS Devona, because in the Manuscripts that came with the game, it says Devona wants to die for freedom like her father, and the female warrior in the movie talks about dying for freedom.

A lot of that imagery was made in 2003 and 2004, possibly even some from as early as 2002. Not every idea for a character made it into the game as an NPC or sory-line character. Sometimes dozens of concept art drwaings are made of a single NPC which vary greatly from one to the other.
The concept art pictures are best viewed as individual pieces without contextual relevance to the game. In the case of the scantily clad flowating lady, she can be whoever you'd like her to be. Just keep your more personal fantasies private ;-)
