Both classes are superb, and they are very different. Warriors basically just sit and take damage; they aren't very good at dealing it, but they are the single hardest class to kill. They are a specialized class that also just happens to make the best runner in most circumstances.
Rangers are much more versatile than warriors. They can tank using defensive stances, they can deal damage both to single targets and to multiple targets, they can defend and heal the party, they can interrupt, and they can run. Unfortunately, they aren't as good as the specialists in any of these areas; warriors outtank them, elementalists outdamage them, monks outdefend and outheal them, and mesmers outinterrupt them.
As for making the Drok's run, a warrior will have it much easier than a Ranger. Rangers MUST have a Warrior sideclass to make the Drok's run anyway-Balanced Stance is essential, so if you plan to make a character to do the Drok's run, a warrior is a better choice.
Anyway, it is personal preference. They aren't comparable classes; no two classes are really comparable in Guild Wars, nor is there a "best" class because any one class can take down any other class. Just choose one and use it, and if you enjoy it, stick with it, and if not, make a new character.

With the elite stance escape you would run 25% faster and have a 75% chance to evade attacks, this could replace balanced stance, you can still run faster and the kd's are blocked (most of the time anyways).

i came a across a very important factor about Ninjas vs. Pirates; revealed by a fellow guildie.
Pirate = 6 letters.
Ninja = 5 letters.
6 > 5
therefore Pirate > Ninja!

I have a ranger to run with. Droknars run do work with them! But to decide wich class is best.. well, all i have to say is that all the people in here got different and equal opinions about the professions. Or what do we know about eachother. The only thing we know, is our taste for the different choices that lies in our minds.
But anyway, i feel like saying; Rangers rule everything!
(But i`l bet you guys still have the same opinions as before ;) )

Well, I've never had much truck with running, but recently I've had the pleasure of lying dead on the ground while BlackPhoenix and Silly_Ranger ran Apoletta and myself from Old Ascalon to Lion's Arch. BlackPhoenix was a Lvl20 W/Mo and Silly was a R/Mo. This is what I've learned from that experience:
Both of them have terrible sense of direction and route to take!!! My Lvl 10 Mo/W without any running skills nearly beat them to Beacon's Perch and without going below 90% of my health as opposed to their drops below 10%... :-P
Having gotten that of my chest, I noticed that the Warrior and Ranger classes, while overlapping to some extend have different approaches to running. The Warrior soaks up more damage while the Ranger evades more damage. Both professions are well served by a Monk secondary profession. My conclusion therefore is that the 'perfect' Runner would be one half of a two man team, combining R/Mo and W/Mo together.

If it's the skills you want, here are the basics. I highly recommend trying to figure things out on you're on, because I feel that way you'll get more out of it. But here are some that people like to cycle through.
Storm Chaser, Escape, Dodge, erm... I know I'm forgetting something. But then you can add things like Whirling Defense, and some other things to your skill bar.
Remember that for each situation, there are different ways of approaching it.

Well, what happens during the last ten seconds or so before you die in terms of attacks, spells and skills thrown at you by the enemy?
Analyzing that and thinking up ways to counter / prevent that from happening is how you improve your build. My guess is that it's Hexes that get you. That's why about 90% of all Runners have a Monk Secondary Profession. To get rid of or slow down those. There's also some who claim to use Endure Pain to outlast the Hexes, but I've noticed that those persons spend more time telling you how it's done than doing it themselves, so I wouldn't bet on it myself.
But who am I to say this, I've never even tried the Droknar's run I should just shut up and point out
this Map by Tribina which includes information on build, danger zones e.t.c.

First of all, you cant block or evade the Tundra Giants, "Giant Stomp" Balanced Stance is 100% necesarry.
And to the first question (Warrior vs. Ranger, remember?
IMO a Ranger / Mesmer can own every profession, 1 vs. 1.
Vs warriors = Spike the hell out of them, and interpt their healing, and offcourse, bring Throw Dirt and Whirling Defense. (you can also go resolve trapper with high marks and dist shot)
VS any caster = Spike the hell out of them, and interupt their spells together with Arcane Conundrum.
Vs Ranger = I acctually dont have a clue... Just spike the hell out of them :D

In that case I'd recommend switching your secondary profession to monk in the Crystal Desert if your heart's set on being able to do the run. Hexes are a weakness on both Warrior and Ranger professions, so a combination of them doesn't counter them.

yea but the problem is that if i switch back to a monk i cant pass the part with the worms i will just keep getting knock down tho
and the dodge was not meant to dodge or evade anything it is made to run with out using charge i only want to use charge with balance stance thats y i have dodge
