...the best builds are the ones you make yourself lol.. also if you DO want to cheat a bit and look up builds look at the guides we have. There are alot of necro builds there. Don't be lazy, work for your builds :P

Well, this is my current N/R Minion Master build. Works great in PvE.
Just in case I confuse anyone, the pic below is from when I got my horns from Grenth. Those are not my minions.
I think my attributes were something like:
Death Magic 14 (12 + 2)
Soul Reaping 9 (8 + 1)
Wilderness Survival 8? <--not sure about that
Deathly Swarm
Rotting Flesh
Blood of the Master
Verata's Sacrifice
Animate Bone Minion
Animate Bone Fiend
Troll Unguent

I've been working on my necro build for awhile.
I have a Death Magic Maxed with a Superior Rune. This gives me level 18 Minions that are easy to keep alive with Veritas Sacrifice and Blood of Master. Taking minion and horror both enables you to quickly get up an army and give you flexiblity on attacking. Horrors seem like they can take more damage than minions, but ya gotta love the minions range. That takes 4 out of your 8 spots. Recently, I have found the echo and spiteful spirit (or SS at outposts) very worth while for large group attacks. With 27-29 hit damage for the target and surrounding targets per skill or attack(with max curses-only minor rune though), you can put a lot of damage on a group. Echo the SS and you are in business. I like to carry a battery skill for my 7th slot (put the left over into blood-with a minor rune). It won't be a long time for regen 9-12 seconds of +3 regen for energy, but it can be used pretty rapidly and only sacrifices 16% of your health. Monks become your best friend. Even a echo nuker likes some help every once in a while.
If you don't like using SS, I like echo virulence as well, if you have a tank who uses bleeding or hamstring. Virulence adds poison, rotten flesh, and weakness for a long time (20+ seconds) with max death. Rotten flesh gets passed to other enemies as well. Virulence is a quick cast and only costs 5 energy. Only problem is Virulence doesn't work unless the enemy has a condition.

i personally am in love with necros, as blood addicts and minion masters.
i could make these builds better with elites obviously, but am too lazy to go out and cap everything.
minion master
death-16 (12+3+1)
soul reaping-9 (8+1) i think
healing prayers-9
deathly swarm
rotting flesh
putrid explosion
animate bone thing (i prefer fiend)
veratas sacrifice
heal area
consume corpse

i use deathly swarm for massive hits, coupled with almost no recast, makes for constant kills while you need em. i start off with rotting flesh, which is like contagious poison, and it lasts for 20-something seconds, 24 i think. putrid explosion is for when you dont need many more corpses, or if you can make a lot more quickly by using it. it hits a massive 124 i believe. veratas is for preventing the degeneration more than healing i think, and heal area is a lot more effective then BOTM, for it heals you too, has more range, and heals 120 with 9 healing i think. consume corpse owns. 0 recast, 3/4 cast, gain 90-ish hp, cost 10 energy, gain 19 energy. so you gain almost 100 hp and 9 energy for free as much as u want. i prefer making fiends because with their range, you can use heal area while in the middle of a fight,not heal all the enemies in the process, and keep your minions alive more. in the variable spot i usually have a resurrect, or if soloing another damage skill (vile touch is good).

i saw how long that was, so broke up my stuff into 2 posts =).
when i use blood, i use pretty much whatever i feel like
bm-16 (12+3+1)
sr- 5-10 (4-9 +1), depending on how hard the stuff im killing
is, and how often ill get kills
curses- the rest +1
vampiric gaze
life siphon
signet of agony
well of blood
unholy feast
suffering
mark of pain
awaken the blood
most of these blood skills steal around 65 hp, which is good. awaken the blood keeps ur curses and bm at +2, and since there are no heavy sacrifice skills here it doesnt hurt too much. unholy feast is good when youre being mobbed, or if there's a group you can run in, cast, and run back. spamming liph siphon helps your team, and gives you massive hp regen. well of blood is good to cast on fallen warriors by your casters. suffering is fun to put on a group, its really good for its energy use. mark of pain is really helpful when a warrior charges into a tight group, which coupled with suffering and spammed life siphons can help you dispatch a group a lot faster. this build is really fun, because almost every skill damages while keeping you alive.
