This is a somewhat odd idea for a PVP build I thought up. I suppose it could work in pve, too, but it really is focused on pvp. It's a group build, so it is designed for groups with a minimum of 3 players all set up to use the build.
Character 1: Mo/Wa
Stats: 16 Smite, rest as desired.
Skills: Holy Wrath, Retribution, Frenzy, Sprint, 4 others.
Character 2: N/?
Stats: 16 Death, rest as desired.
Skills: Death Nova, Putrid Explosion, 6 others.
Character 3: Me/Mo
Stats: 9+ Fast Casting, rest as desired.
Skills: Vengeance, 7 others.
Strategy: Before the match starts, the Mo/Wa casts Holy Wrath and Retribution on itself. Match starts, Monk uses Sprint to run into clump of enemies, then uses Frenzy. Necromancer casts Death Nova on Monk. Because they're "intelligent," enemies attack Monk, dealing themselves massive Retribution and Holy Wrath damage and killing the monk. Monk's Death Nova then activates, dealing even more damage to enemies. Necro Putrid Explosions the Monk's corpse while the Mesmer casts Vengeance on the Monk. Repeat as needed.
Well, this may be a completely crazy build, but I like the idea of actually using Frenzy to a purpose in pvp since it's just about the least expected skill in the game. Any suggestions people may have about this build, or questions about it (or my sanity)? I'm not entirely sure how effective it would be, but it looks entertaining, especially against builds heavy with Rangers and Warriors.

I think it could work, you could also have some smiters to drop balth's on the monk, though that might clue the attackers in..
life, well, life is like a tray of cocktail weenies, no matter how many you take, you still have to deal with all the toothpicks

and the monk can keep healing itself so retribution and holy wrath effects will keep on going and going. This is a great idea and i cant wait to use it.

Mark of Pain on the monk would be nice, I agree. I tryed just the monk part in Team Arenas a couple times and came up with a couple of improvements that could be made.
Keep Smiting Prayers at 15 or 16, but also throw in Divine Favor at 13 or 14, then use Spellbreaker. This will force people to actually attack the monk for the duration of the enchantment and also stop people from stripping away the damage dealers.
Strength of Honor on the monk and use a sword or axe. Since Smiting Prayers are so high anyway, you might as well make use of them to actually deal some damage instead of just counterattacking.
LOWER armor. Tatoos are first available in Lion's Arch, so use those! Less armor means more damage comes in, so more damage goes out!
I think Warrior's Cunning would also be a useful skill, to prevent blocking from everything, but specifically Gladiator's Defense. No Glad's Def blocks means no Glad's Def damage.
Once I can actually test the whole team build, I'll put up the results here.
