Congratz Triumph Hami Raiders!

Just want to give a quick gratz to all the Triumph heroes at the Hami Raid that lasted from 1/8 to 1/9. I believe Hami hasn't gone down for us since the end of I4, so it was a very sweet victory last nite! Great job, Triumph! Despite ED and I6 nerfs, you guys were level headed and focused the whole time til Hami finally was overcome! And thanks for a shiny new HO!

BATZ! i didn't know you were on gameamp! it sucks that i missed it. i just figured that we gave it our all the last time so i got kinda discouraged:( oh well ill see you at the next one though^_^

You have to be at least level 45. And I thought that on Triumph we have a weekly attempt. Either Monday's or Wednesday's. I have done it once, and never again. But I will check with some of my SG folks that do it regularly.

What exactly is a Hami Raid? Is that part Ham and part Koolade? Is that Hami short for Hamidon? I've heard that word before somewhere.

Please enlighten me and others who might not know what this is!

And when you kill it you receive a Hami-O enhancement. Which is an double powered SO. Meaning one HO is both dmg and acc, or dmg and range, etc. Definately nice! But defeating Hamidon is no joke. You need at least 30-40 level 45+ heroes to have a change. And that is where the problem lies. So many heroes together cause major lag, and organizing just a big group of players is rather lengthy. The actual fight with Hami takes probably not more than 15-20 minutes, but getting everybody there, orginazing the group, rezzing the one impatient players, etc etc, it can easlity take over two hours. Still it is something you definately want to do once you reach 45. I know plenty of heroes that do it regularly, and have definately an edge with all their HO's.

AH! Thank you for that explanation! I have seen the light!

Is there some place where I can find info on this topic? ie..the different types of Hami-O and their values? Also, are they affected by ED in the same way regular enhancements are?

I'm ready to take a break from CoV and concentrate on lvling my main toon on CoH, Lean Green Bean, he's only lvl 31 so we got a ways to go. I'll return to CoV when the first Issue is released or major update, whatever they're gonna call it.

I wondered why I haven't seen the Bean around for a while. Das Carrot is at 28 (lots of other toon ideas). The Carrot can't solo too much with the limited attacks. Give me a shout if you need a empathy defender in your travels.

Currently on Triumph we're trying to limit having Hamidon Raids to about once every 2 weeks so we don't wear out the novelty of it and people start losing interest. It's definitely a challenge and worth doing a few times to see if 50+ people on your server can find a way to work together- it basically takes everyone cooperation to get it done. Unfortunately, the level restriction to get to the Hive is level 45, so I have run into a lot of great players who have interest in helping out but have not reached 45 yet.

If you join the Triumph Hamidon channel, the next raid scheduled is usually on the MOTD. Currently they're being held on the weekends. Looking forward to seeing more new faces there as they hit 45+!

(note: the potential debt incurred at a Hami Raid can bring you close to the debt cap, depending on how smoothly it is going. Most people wait til they're level 50 when debt is not that big of an issue anymore)
