Hello all,
I have a Robot MM going and I absolutely love him. He is almost lvl 20 now, but I am interested what everyone else has done for their Protector Bot slotting. I started it out with a full six slots, and at the moment I have 1 ACC, 2 DAM, 1 HEAL, 1 DEF, 1 ACC DEBUFF. Now that I have gotten my 3rd drone, and with my Assault Bot and 2nd Protector coming at 24, what is the best way to slot? Is it necessary to keep some ACC and DAM in the Protector, or can you swap out for all Defense and Heal/ToHit Debuff? I have Assault, Tactics, and will be getting Manuevers, I am also going to get the MM Repair power, and probably Heal Other and Heal Self from the Power Pools just as back up powers. With that in mind, is a 3 slot ACC and 3 slot DAM a better idea? Thanks for any help anyone can give, I am flying solo here on how MMs are played best, so thanks again.

Hey, welcome along as a fellow Robots MM! They sure are fun aren't they!?
I'm at L27 at the moment and have both Protector Bots, and the Assault Bot as well, which is cool, heaps of damage output.
I've got the Protector Bots slotted:
2 DAM, 1 ACC, 1 HEAL, 1 DEF
Most of the time I want the little dears to hit and hit hard, hence the ACC and DAM enhancements. Don't forget the lovelies can also heal your other minions (and will do so a lot, I've come to rely on it) and will also place forcefields around you and your minions. I wanted to be protected from untimely bot-death, so the higher DEF and HEAL really help.
It's also very handy to have a Force Field on myself for those Bank Heists.... Ever noticed that the guards will target you primarily?
Keep zapping and thumping and blasting.

Yes, indeed! Welcome to the fraternity of the BEST (ok, ok, IMHO the BEST) Mastermind variety. (Checks for flames, might be safe for a few more seconds) In answer to your Protector Bot slotting; I personally use a 3 Damage, 2 Defense Buff, 1 Healing. Also, all of my bots are 6 slotted. If you are a Mastermind your minions had better be 6 slotted or why have them. My rationale behind my slotting is from experiencing their play-style for lo these 40 levels. The Protectors really havent needed much in the way of accuracy in their attacks. They do pretty good as they are. When they need to lay down a cover fire they do so admirably well. Nor do I see a big reason for the healing powers in my own bots, since to be honest they dont heal each other that often, BUT they do Force Bubble all the bloody time, so I figured I should up that, and they bubble me too, so yeah, I want even more defense.
Now as far as your pool sets and such; it very much depends on your choice of secondary set. It all revolves around your secondary. At least my choice of secondary has forced me to try some sets that I normally shun, and I have done very well. Would love to give more help, but need to know whatcha got there. Please advise.

Hey hey. First off, let me fix something...you said your Assault Bot comes at 24; it comes at 26. Your 2nd protector bot does come at 24, I believe. It's been a while since I was there...
My robot MM (Desmond Doom) is level 34 now, so I've been where you are for a while now. I have all 3 types of bots 6-slotted.
Battle Drones: 3 Accuracy, 3 Damage
Protector Bots: 2 Accuracy, 2 Damage, 2 Defense Buff
Assault Bot: 3 Damage, 3 Accuracy
For the protector bots, I don't have health enhancements because it doesn't really help all that much. Whenever they repair the other bots, it almost always recharges them to full health anyways (even back when I was in the 20s), so its a wasted spot really. It doesn't help charge the repair power any faster, so it really doesn't do much good in my eyes. I think you'd be better off slotting some defense buffs for them since they give out the Force Fields. Now that I've got Update Bot, I haven't lost a single bot (when I've got them all out and updated) in more than 2 levels of solo play. Not bad, eh?
Just keep in mind, that all the advice you get isn't necessarily what's best for you. People play differently, and the enhancements are there so you can adjust your bots to your level of play. If you're not seeing your bots heal well, add the heal enhance. If you think it better to debuff the enemy, slot a debuff. If you find your bots go down fast, slot a recharge speed. My style of play is pretty straightforward and head-on, so I go for the 3 basics: damage, accuracy, and defense. But it really is all personal preference

I agree with Sapir, Robots are the best. I will also throw my $.02 into the ring as everyone esle has.
Drones - 2 ACC/ 3 DAM
Protector - 1 ACC/ 3 DAM/ 1 HEAL/ 1 DEF
Assault - 2 ACC/ 3 DAM
I have found that I dont need the 3 ACC slot in my drones and assault bots as I also run tactics. I play at Ruthless dif setting and dont find myself missing or having any issues.
I choose to slot the protector with heal as with a single SO in the spot, the heal pretty good. For healing I have also taken the repair option which is really good for bringing the assault back to full health mine has 800+ hitpoints. I also take Aid Other tripled slotted with heal as my protectors need some assistance keeping all the bots up and moving.

Robots are good, as are any MM type, but I like Ninjas the best...
Have the Oni pop off a smoke bomb to have him do critical damage, with his group immo. Ever see dual 6's roll off of mobs being held in place, having the crap kicked out of them by some nasty ninjas?
I don't know about you, but I'm a fan of up close and personal. My MM stands right in the center of it all, cracks off his acc/dam debuffs, shadow fall, tar, and the lovely heal that Dark Miasma gets keeps me and my Street Fighting Crew all set.
But I might be flaming you by saying Ninjas are better.. =P

I just turned 32 last night and I have slotted my bots as such:
Battle Drones: Dam-Dam-Dam-Acc-Acc-Acc
Protector Bot: Dam-Dam-Dam-Acc-Acc-Heal
Assault Bot: Dam-Dam-Dam-Acc-Acc-Acc
I didn't feel the need to put Defence Buffs on the Protector as I am Forcefield secondary aand I truely believe that a good defence is a great offence.
