| utcomp + my server skillz = not working |

i have an linux server running ut2004 with the 3369 patch. i have anti tcc on it and a few custom skins , also the TAM and the AM mods. i have these game types on the server: DM, TDM, CTF, iCTF, CTF, TAM, AM. Since i installed utcompv16a , only the default player skins will work in my server. if i choose one of the custom skins it will default to the arclite character skin . any help would be appreciated. cool site here too by the way

just read through some of the older skin issues posts, anyone ever figure out an way to use custom skins and models. if not the makers of utcomp should, because custom skins seem to be on alot of peoples wish list.

One point of UTcomp is to force all players to be able to adjust what everyone looks like, essentially giving balance.
Since you and your enemy can both choose to have the other look like XAN or Arclite, then there is no weaseling due to one player having a weird player skin and being harder to see/shoot.

unfortunatley thats not one of the features i got utcomp for. i only used the hitsounds, and enhanced net code. ive recently uninstalled it because ,when my server is set to the TAM mod it doesnt show uo in the server list. anyway thanks for the reply

UTComp exists primarily as a mod for competition, not as a bundle of groovy features (although it is that).

thats great , u can use it for whatever you want . as for me, im not using it at all. not for groovy features or comp. too many things it messes with that im trying to do on my server.
