| bonetti's V.S essence bond |

hey im a solo monk that just needs a few re-arranging on skills to go to UW.i know energy is a big thing.when i solo griffons i dont use bonetti's because i use essence bond and balthazar's spirit,with those together its like 4 energy on 1 hit plus you dont have to keep clicking bonettis if u use essence bond.Do i absolutely need to switch essence bond for bonetti's defence?or will i have enough energy with out bonetti's?

when you fight griffons you have many griffons hitting you at one time (i presume) but it UW its usually 3-4 monsters. bonetti gives 5 energy for 1 block when with blathazar and essence you get 2. energy is essential for you in farming so definitely bonettis

Ive done UW several times without bonettis and used essence bond instead, and it didnt make much of a difference. Only reason i bring bonettis is if im being hit alot or if my healing breeze was interrupted i can use bonettis to cover the damage im taking.

I couldtnt agree more. Bonetti's gives the best energy bonus when fighting small mobs, and also comes handy when casting, because it is almost impossible for the Aatxes to interrupt while Bonetti's is on. (I always cast Bonetti's before SoJ.

i'll assume you are talking about 2man UW ecto runs. if you arent, then disregard whats below.
i see about 50/50 bonetti's in UW.
i dont know if its related, but the 55s in my buddy lists that i prefer over all others are ones i know dont ever use bonnetti's in UW smite runs. even if you decide to take bonnetti's, you shouldnt use it against smites, since the SS/SV needs them to actually hit you in order for SV to drain their energy

well my view on essence bond vs bonettis is different...especially against smite crawlers. I pull ALOT of smites [usually around 15-20 per pull]...and while bonettis does negate the - energy from SV, it helps keep me alive...essence bond wont do that. granted you will have enough energy, but balthazaars spirit does the job for me, especially against that many smite crawlers. bonettis is def better than eb IMO :b
