i was jsut wondering if sum1 could explain to me what u do on a ranger spike team and whats skills and second proff u should get and wut not

Well, i can give you SOME info on it. Ranger spike is about dealing loads of damage all at once, so the monks cant heal. it involves order necros, Read the Wind, Vamp bows, Strong & quick attacks, and, TeamSpeak. There is a caller, who on TS, does a count down "3..2..1...spike!" On spike they all use preferably punishing shot. Winowwing helps a bit too.
It can be quite effective if used properly.

Most Spikers are R/Me with druids armor for energy. You'll want a sup marksman, and a sup vig(not really needed but helps.)A vamp 5-1 bow, with a secondary bow for when your not attacking.
Abilitys:
16 marks
10 wilderness
10 expertice
3 inspiration
Skills:
Dual Shot
Punishing shot {E}
Savage Shot
Read the Wind
Drain enchantment
Whirling Def
Frozen Soil
Res sig
You can swith drain enchant for more marks skills if wanted, and maybe choose different spirit based on what other rangers have (don't need 6 rangers with frozen.)
Basically it works like Rai said, usually everyone gets on TS or Vent and has a designated caller. He'll call targets, you'll cast read the wind, switch to vamp bow, and wait for him to count down and say "spike", at which point you use Dual Shot on the target.Then use other skills as needed until Dual shot Recharges.
tip- Be carefull on when you cast frozen soil, as it effects everyones ability to rez.

I personaly use duel shot + punishing shot + kindle arrows , and winnowing , don't got ts yet , but it works :)

In my other guild, this is what we typically run. We sometimes win and hold halls, but if not we usually make at least 20 fame in an bad couple hours up to 70 fame in a good run in a couple of hours.

Being successful at ranger spike is very very hard.
It takes a lot of time, and a lot of practice. If you expect this to work flawlessly the first time don't even bother. Once you have friends that you can do ranger spike with every day and make the best with what you have, then you can gain fame real quick, real fast and real easy.
A few things to keep in mind. Even if a team's spike is terrible(not on time, easily given off), they can win if they have great monks and a great caller and fc orders.
The caller is what makes a good ranger spike great. It is a very very hard position to play, but even harder is the FC orders since that position has the most responsibility(corpse control, making sure orders are up before spikes and trying to spike with rangers with SS, BR'ing Bonder and monks when needed, Rigor mortis'ing targets when caller calls it, and rend enchanting Ghost at altars when called).

Another important aspect of the ranger spike is timing, always make sure the spike is sychronized. Do not target enemies behind walls. Also it helps to have the monks on vent because they can then(as many monks equip inspired enchantment) help strip the target. Stripping a target is essential for a win against high ranked groups, a good strip strips before the spike and right in the middle to remove the guardian that is sometimes thrown up. A good counter for this is to have natures renewal constantly out as it hampers prot monks and makes it harder to defend against the spike.
The last line of defense against a ranger spike is usually the opponents SB/infuser if they have one. Have the necro keep an eye on the monks to watch for the drop. THen have two or so rangers start a spike on a target, the SB/infuser, already in a stressed out state will usually throw down the infuse health, have the remaining rangers spike the infuser for a quick kill. Immediately after this drop frozen soil and then start spiking as fast as possible for a moral dessication.

Ive never heard of a monk carrying inspired enchantment....maybe drain enchantment...but in gvg. Your ideas are inspiring but might be too much for a newbie to rspike to pick up on...

You should spike with Dual Shot then you use Punishing after that and never spike with Savage Shot

In my opinion Needling Shot spikes are better, the spikes should be followed by: Dual Shot(#1), Punishing Shot (#2) and Needling Shot(#) that way 3 spikers is enough.

I've played a couple sucessful ranger spikes, but then I changed guild. So, I was wondering if some of you might wanna team up some time to do some HA runs?
I am in desperat need of fame as I only have rank 1 :P
My ign is Barlo Barleboog, The Dark Numenorian.
I'm usualy on around 18.30-20.30 GMT+1 (Sweden)
I have TS and Vents and I like spiking the shit out of other players :D I am mostly experienced in spikage and monking.
