Ok, I am trying to make my own server. I know that you need 2 computers for it and I have that. Do the computers need to be connected though? Mine aren't but his is what happends. I edit the server I want and stuff and then click dedicated then it minimizes the game and a small window pops-up with all this stuff in it. At that point, my server is listed in the server listings but no one can go to it because there is no Ping and stuff. How do i completely start the server? Did I miss anything or am I suppose to type in something in that box? Please, someone help and thank you to all who help!

The reason you were told you need two computers, is that you should not play on the same computer hosting the server. One machine should be "dedicated" to running the server and nothing else. Also, hosting a server on DSL or even cable is probably not that good of an idea. If you need info in setting up and running a server, check out this page

It's a lot easier for most people to rent one. I use Viper's Servers. His prices are the lowest I've found and his service is awesome.
