is this game out

this game looks really good and im just wondering when it will come out and what kind of payment there will be per month. (im hoping free :P)

I think the game is out in South Korea and judging by some game sites it's supposed to be released the first quarter of this year, in the US at least.

according to one site, its release date is 3/30/06

sounds fishy to me though, so don't get your hopes up. they mgiht pull a blizzard and release it 2 years from now

This site says release is May 2006 for Korea. I believe they are getting it toward the end of this month. We should probably see it this fall maybe.

Hi nach000. The English version is still under developement. The only choice you have is to wait, or pick up a course in Korean.

The Game SUNonline is still open beta in Korea. So it is not ready yet. There will be a closed beta version for EU/US when ready, but it is not done yet. Probably the game will be still free when released in KOREA! Like they do with the all the other games they create ....

When released probably there will be a fee for EU/US like in Lineage 2, Archlord, WOW, etc etc etc.

The only way to play the game now is to know korean, since the client is korean, and to have a KSSN (Korean Social Security Number) which doesnt 100% mean you have to be korean, but otherwise it would be with conflict with their laws :)

So, if you want to play now, become a Korean .. lol not possible, get a korean girlfriend to make you an account, then learn korean, to read the things in the game and play it for free.

For all the rest (me inclusive) - patience! I like the game a lot too, so I wait and play the rest what is available. Until SUNonline launch I will check on Archlord, since WOW looks too childish and Lineage2 got too business oriented ... speak ebay and bots :)

C ya all in the future .... in the coming beta ... or in the release!

Wanna know something funny/weird/dissapointing?

I found out this game was coming out about... fall 2005. Back then it said May 2006 it never said korea only. I checked back maybe 6 mo later, past due, and it wasent complete yet. Then I decided to check again this month(apr 2007). Now it says due May 2006(in Korea only). A year after due, the game comes out IN KOREA! So now, I've been waiting for the game for 1 1/2 years and still nothing significant(for the americans that is.)

BTW, whoever said the source that said May 2006 was probably not reliable, It is. I forget the site right now but that's the site of the people who made the game. (If it helps any, the site is blue.)

The game went out already in Korea, think was in December 2006. I managed to play with a free account on their servers, and I must say , the graphics are stunning, no other mmorpg can even reach theyr water. the gameplay (speak char moving etc) is like wow, lotr, with the keys. more of the game like quests etc coudlnt test, since it was in corean.

when the game goes out in EU/US I will definitely try it.

This has been one of those highly anticapated games that seems to never get any US/Euro news on. I check out the their site on a regular basis but it seems to never get any update. These are the same people who are behind Huxley which also looks to be a cool game.

If you want to check out the official site you can find it here but there isnt much to read...some news here and there but nothing stating when its coming out.

^Nope, not out yet. What's concerning is not only the lack of any news for a US release, but also the fact that a while back they took down the official site and it never came back. Now it just has a short blurb on the Webzen site.

Hi there, im new user on gameamp.com i'm interested on Sun Online, Korean Beta is Started the European Beta was scheduled on 2nd May 2007 but now is scheduled on 15th of May 2007 But i cant find the Registration Page...

Yeah it is kinda of sad to see that this game has almost dropped off the face of US/Euro existence. It just looks intense and like a brutal game to play.

I see one member is saying something about Euro beta in May...where did you get the intel? Email, from another site? Anything you can provide that wont cause you to be jailed would be great to hear.

Its right, it was about Korea's beta.
Beta ended in Korea approximately the end of 2006, november or so. Since then the game is official there. Yes, thats right, SUN is already launchend in Korea, since last year.
There were rumors that this year they will launch a beta for US/EU but I am still waiting ... as many others.
