Well I've been a Silent Hill fan since the first one was released for the playstation. For those people who haven't seen it, here is the trailer for the upcoming Silent Hill movie. Doesn't look bad at all, hopefully it's as good if not better than the games hehe.

it was mainly fimled in brantford ontario..i lived there this summer an for the past year but had just moved back to toronto..lol they didnt do much to the town to make it look creepy

Well it takes place in WV, but as far as I know living in WV all my life (24 years), there's no County that exists with the name Tulsca or whatever it is. Would have been better if they actually made a county that exists, oh well. Creepy is as creepy does...

I don't believe I've ever played the Silent Hill game (or knew of its existance). However, looking at the trailer here...seems like it's going to be a very good movie.

Yep, thats right!
I am looking forward to this movie and I really hope they don't screw it up! The trailer does look cool though. I have been a fan of the games all the way through the series, the subtle and not so subtle psychological horror that is in them is second to none!

Well Ron when I first saw the 'Worst movie ever' comment, I was thinking you were giving a link to any Superbabies movie...then StreetFighter pops up..
Well the casting is what made this movie suck..who thinks Jean Claude can actually do anything? You know he had surgery to have his tendons cut so he can do those amazing splits? The muscles will hold the joints in place. Yup, it's amazing what you find out when you're actually in Martial Arts. I've went to many a tournament and have spoken to those that have fought Dolph Lungren, he hits like a freight train...but is slow as moleasses(sp) and even those that have spoken to Jean Claude, because no one has seen him fight or heard of the tournaments in Brussels or whereever that he was supposed to have competed in.
Whatever the case, I do agree that it was a terrible movie. Lets hope Silent Hill can make use pee ourselves... =P

My sister has been a Silent Hill freak ever since the first one was released on PS. She has freaked out over some of the clips she's seen, and she says it is going to be possibly the best Game-to-Movie transformation known to man. I have to agree with her after seeing some of them myself. She will be dragging me along next week to see it. I won't be resisting it very much, though.

i saw this movie with my friends. we're all big on gaming but somehow none of us bothered with the silent hill games. (i played a demo of The Room, part 4 i believe). as far as the movie goes, it was pretty good, but the "twists" make it less scary. the thought of being in the dark alone and hearing things and then seeing sick and twisted stuff helplessly is scary. and if you're a parent just imagine how bad it would be looking for your daughter or son, lol.
for scaryness i'd say 6/10
for entertainment i'd say 8.7/10
