Soon as RW started playing oldies it hit me. Everyonce in a while there should be a flashback show. Just like they do on the radio. Can call it Radiowaves Romper Flashback. Nothing but oldies and stuff that existed before the young'uns and during the time the young'uns parents were young'uns themselves.

Hey, I remember growing up to some of these.......and.....well, I was brought up on 40s-60s music with a smattering of 70s when my parents liked the song/group......It was almost the 90s before I really got into "modern" (80s) music. *giggles*

Glad you guys liked it :) I had a great time tonight. I didn't have the chance to tag everything into the database before the show but I'll make sure I have it all for next week (hugs buddha for working on that now lol).
I currently have about 1000 oldies songs with more on the way :) weeeeeee so next show should ROCK!

lets just face it. we have good music now. but the stuff during the 40s and 50s and such totally rocked. woot. glenn miller! and cant forget the age of black and white tv. ive always wondered if things back then actually where just black and white and shades of grey. no such thing as a red rose. just a light grey shaded rose. like in Pleseant Ville. No colors at all.

Just because it is old doesn't mean it is less good. There are good and bad music from every era. It is amazing to me how many think that just one kind of music or one time period of music is good. The music we enjoyed in the 90's is still good even though the calendar reads 2004. Why else would there be so many "covers" of old music being done? That is why we enjoyed the show so much......we got to hear the originals.....which rocks!

I am suprised to find that so many of the "new" songs I have listned to now and then, are actually covers .. and the songs are sometimes 30 or more years old.
I guess its getting harder to make good music.
