I just bought City of Heros two days ago and love it, it is a great MMORPG. But I am wondering if there is a arena to PvP in with my lvl 12 Scrapper? I know you can PvP with CoV but I don't own that, and I vaugely remember PvPing in regular City of Heros when they offered a free 14 day trail. So if anyone could direct me to the right city and building, it would be very appreciated, thanks.

At your level, the easiest place to go for a PvP venue would be the Arena in Galaxy City. It's available for any level and connects with the two other arenas (One is in Talos Island and I forget where the third is). It will be marked on your map and I believe it is toward the center of Galaxy.
Also, in order to do PvP with folks playing CoV, you do NOT need to have both CoH and CoV. You just go into one of the PvP zones. The earliest one available for you will be Bloody Bay, which you can enter as early as lvl 15. You reach Bloody Bay by going to Skyway City, going all the way south to where you will see a helicopter. Talk to the guy by the loading ramp, and you'll go to Bloody Bay.

I have a hard time finding people to fight in the Arena, so that's why I go to the PvP zones and slap around some villains. You don't need CoV in order to go into the PvP zones, but you need it to get into the SG bases.
PvP is very fun once you get a fun team to play with.

Try Bloody Bay south of Skyway City near Faultline...I found that my level 30 Scrapper kicks major booty (MA/SR) in Siren's Call and I ALMOST got the Missile (!) yesterday, had 2 launch codes then a Spine Stalker got me in the Web LOL.
PvP is loads of fun when you get bored with the mission grind, and you don't gain debt from dying to other players =)

Yeah, I've actually come around a little on the PvP zones. I initially had a bad taste in my mouth from wanting to look around Warburg when it first came out, pre-villain, only to be struck down by another hero for no apparent reason. But I've been in Siren's Call a few times recently and the missions there are a nice change of pace. Getting stalkerized didn't bother me either, as it basically meant a quicker trip to the SC gate (before inertial reduction). Those stalkers are nasty though, had no clue even with tactics.
