i've messed around a little with the test server, just to see the capes and auras. It's way too laggy in a lot of areas for me to actually enjoy it. The first time i log in after copying a character over, it says i've earned a new badge. the ones i have gotten are for getting lvl 20 and 30 i believe. I'm just curious if anyone has a link to or has seen a listing of the badges available, or has a little more information on them. I know there are 150 (maybe a little more) in all. I know some of them are for doing the various task forces, or for visiting a certain area or amount of areas. Also, does anyone know if they are retroactive, beyond the ones awarded just for levels. I would hate to think that because i haven't done all the task forces, i would have to make another character and do them all, just for badges alone. I've read somewhere that eventually, and it's a long way off, that there will be rewards for getting certain combinations of badges; such as increased max endurance, etc... Any information would be appreciated.

yes the badages will be retroactive (when i logged in w/ my main i got badges for all the tf's i've done and a for my lvls).... as for a list i don't know all of them, but i know a lot of them are for killing 100 (yep 100) bosses from pretty much every group of bad guys... this one is not retroactive (as far as i've seen), and there are the tourisim badges which you get for visiting certain locations in game (there is a nifty little plaque on the ground in front of all of these places)
but i don't have the patcience to go on the offical forum just yet and look up all of them... maybe someone else has already done so and will be kind enough to post a link for us... *hint hint*

Unfortunately someone besides me is going to have to do this. I found out yesterday morning I need to make an emergency 2 week business trip leaving first thing Saturday morning. I have a lot of things I have to get in order before I go so that is going to be reality and priority from now until Saturday. I am going to do my best to check in with the forums on a nightly basis, but I honestly don't envision myself having the time to research much of anything.
Sorry about this, but someone is going to have to step up and research this or it is going to have to wait until I return sometime toward the end of the month.

That is the best list available. It looks like he got the list from the game somehow. I know of another site, in case slightly different directions help you finding some of those location badges (if you are looking for spoilers).
Another Badges list
The site uses frames, so this will just take you to the home page. Click the forums link, Mess Hall (forum), Everything you wanted to know about badges... There are two posts, one is location badges and the other is everything else the poster has found.

i'm trying to spread out getting the badges. my friends keep pestering me to play w/ them (something about an invasion or what not) so i grab a few here, and a few there, but slowly but surely i'm getting them.

I have over 50. I've been working on the history ones. They're lots of fun too and give information on the CoH story.

You deffinately seem to get badges for the silliest reasons. All I did was get within a few inches of the "hero corps." NPC outside the hospital in Steel Canyon and I was rewarded with a badge. I was just like "what the..."

agree with ya there, i got the Patriot badge for walking around a bunch of heroes crowding the NPC who gives the cape and aura missions.

They give them out for locations (like visiting/paying tribute to fallen heroes or meaningfull events), or learning the history of P.C.
I guess I'm back then... :)

also those badges you get from just walking around a place are just one group of the badges given out. there are many others than the exploration badges. i just got my "tough" badge (for taking 100,000 points of damage)
i myself like the tourism badges, it gives me somthing else to do in game than just kill, kill, kill. but i guess i'm a strange person when it comes to stuff like that

I admit that I like em too, I was interupted last night by friends (how dare they!!) wanting me to go on missions and kill stuff or something... I did cos I'm nice, but I need badges, badges I tell thee!!

ohhhhhhh i know what you mean, my friends are always pestering me to help them w/ this or that, and asking if i'm still looking for more badges.... my thought is they are just jealous of all the badges i have.. yeah that must be it!

I'm up over 60 of them now. I really like the location badges and the history ones (for reading plaques).
I also recently acquired my tough badge. Yay me! I'm not sure blasters should look to achieve them, but nonetheless, I have one now.

I also had that too, although personally i not sure that worth bragging about, if other heroes see that tough badge on you, they might not want to group up with you :)
