I own a Intelli Mouse Explorer 3.0A mouse and it never gave me problems ever since ive had it but ever since I installed my ut2k4...the driver of my mouse keeps enabling and disabling itself during gameplay which is highly annoying when ur doing your thing and all of a sudden u hear that noise and u cant aim and u get fragged over and over...it happens alot when I play ut2k4...its a good mouse... I scanned my pc for viruses using some of the best anti virus programs and I have none... I tried uninstalling the driver to my mouse and re-installing the driver and it still does the same thing when I go to play u2k4... I also hooked the mouse up to my other pc and it doesnt mess up at all...
do any of you know what the problem may be? if so please let me know...its a good mouse...it hate to get rid of it,get a new one... and find out it was a bug or something in the game itself.
thanks...
Orion

have you updated to the newest drivers? or how about the firmware for the mouse? I also had this problem a few updates back with my old logitech wheelman mouse. I ended up having to re-install the newest game patch and also the newest drivers for my mouse and I haven't had a problem since.
This is really going to hurt.

What noise do you hear? Is it the sound windows makes when you plug in a USB device? If so, your mouse cable is probably bad and not making a good connection.

Your cable is bad. I'd put money on it. Buy a new mouse.
Do any other USB devices constantly disconnect like that? If not, its def your mouse.

i think u guys looked over that he hooked it up to his other computer and nothing was wrong...did u try putting in a different USB slot??? it may be that one of the slots is bent and not reading the mouse correctly

Yeah it could be a bent port. However it's very unlikely...99% of the time it's the mouse itaself after all other scrutiny.
Good luck , hope u get it worked out.
