god how do u get more money quickly!

i asked this one kid and he said " ever heard of selling things? " then i was like screw u man. then i ask this other kid and he said " farming "...... uh.... man those people are like.. you know. i play guild wars everyday and i farm everyday and every hour i get only 100 gold!! any tips for me how to get more gold??

If you play through the game from start to finish you should collect quite a bit of gold like that..but if you want to hord alot of gold for vanity purposes you'll need to go out of your way and create one of the farming builds from the guides section. Then just do as they say and you'll most likely be making 2-3k a run.

OH! and i forgot. if you go into Sorrows Furnace you can get green items which sell for a good amount or you can keep them for yourself.

Where are you farming? What level are you? Whats your character class? Do you have more then one area you farm? Answers to these questions may help others answer yours :).

What you need is a WAY to farm. There are a lot of ways to do this. If your a high lvl 15-20 its easy. If not try doing the missions over and over. Take keys with you, you'll get lucky sometimes. When you go farming take more people with you the gold may not pile up as much but items drop much more often. Sorry if this is the same stuff you've been hearing but this is just my 2 cents.

Ok here we go, first if you have a w/mo or w/me farm griffens(w/mo) or hydras(w/me) outside or anguary rock,you will get roundabout 900g-2k a run. Next if you have a necro go cap a skill called spitefull spirit, get the mesmer secod buy arcane echo and go find a 55 monk to farm UW with, just from money drops I get 1-2k from this . lastly if you have a ranger, mesmer or ele you can get a group for UW via tombs as befor I get about 1k a run from money drops and if you get a nice green you can get 40-120k on top of that.

ya im a warrior/monk my level is 10 ( my highest one ) and im still at ascalon city area and this is like my first character. i got feiry dragon sword 15-99, a grim cresta with +45 health and some crappy armor but has good looks. my skills that i use are sprint, frenzy, server artery, gash, ressuction, healing breeze, healing sigmeent and shout. those 8 are my favorites. i always farm at fort ranik, you know you go to fort ranik then enter mission with alesia ( healer henchmen ) just the two of us then we enter mission and kill charrs. then after i kill that green looking charr i press M then travel to fort ranik then i enter mission again with healer henchmen and do same over and over again! every run takes about 10-7 minutes and i get only like 5-10 gold with selling things that the charr drop! man this sucks, i dunno how u guys be so rich, i mean this guy has like 30k!? like cmon man!

ì Dont think you have a fiery dragon sword 15-99 i think you mean 15-22 ^^ btw go to guides section youll fine enough builds, at level 10 ive never farmed:P i dont know the right places (lol) i think the guide section would help you enough^^

If that is still your first character, then what you need to do is not worry about money too much, or farming. Play through the game to the end one time. Once you are level 20 and can get to the better places to find items, then you should start thinkin about farming.

Once you get to areas like The Ring of Fire and the southers Shiverpeaks, the items that drop are worth an average of about 65g each if you sell them to the merchant. So, later on in the game, by just helpin people with missions and pickin up the drops, you can usually make between 1-2k per mission. It's not quite as good as farming, but a lot more fun, IMO.

oh ya my armors are so cheap, 50 gold ascalon armor, 50 gold bracer ascalon armor and boots, and leggings but except for the helm. i bought a fur square which is 400 gold then i bought 10 iron ignots which is 200 gold then i craft a new helm with +1 tactics that is 150 gold then before i know it im flat broke v.v so sad... RIGHT!?

farming at fort ranik wont get you much money.you will have to get further into the game first to get to better farming areas.

Look, you want money, you need to do things. Do missions, do quests, just go outside town and kill things. Pick up everything that drops and sell it to the merchant. Salvage the salvage items. Store the materials, then you wont have to buy them when you need to craft new armor.

There are NO cheats, exploits, or magical ways to make money in this game. You just have to get out there and play the game.

seriously... don't worry about farming yet, i didn't even start farming until i'd beaten the game on my ele, didn't start farming on my ranger until i'd made it to abbadons mouth, and i haven't started farming on my warrior yet.

I agree if this is your first character then don't worry about the money so much, you just need enough to get by. Work your way through the game. By doing the mission and quests rather then trying to Farm where you are you would probably already have more money and be a lot higher lvl.

The further you get in the game the more gold you will get but also the more gold you will spend.

By the time, I made my monk (3rd char), my warrior (1st) was at level 20, my ele (2nd) at level 20.

I intentionally left them at Droks after their ascencion. I had my monk finish the game 1st. By the time I did Hells Precipice, I had accumulated about 65k at that point, from drops and quick sells to the merch and people. Nothing fancy, just offered gold weap at 1-2k, usually sold quick. My objective was not to make gold, but to empty inventory.

Once I finished all the missions on my monk (along with the titan quests), THEN I started farming. I had my son do this as well on his ranger. I am of the opinion that farming shouldn't be on your mind until you've at least completed all the missions on one character.

Then I started my 'wardrobe' thing. Gold is only a 'side effect'. It is a WANT and not a NEED. I had collectors armor and collectors weapons on my monk through THK. I started using a ghostly staff when a teamate was so happy to get through THK, he gave me one.

Play the game, everything comes later. Patience. Learn. Most of all, enjoy it and savor the experience.

an easy way to make money when you are just starting out is to create a new character that is a monk, then run around in the pre searing crypt area using smiting skills to kill undead, hoard up all the dye that drops and sell it to players in ascalon when you leave the searing, black dye sells for 7k, silver for 500 gold, and all the other dye sells for 50-200 gold each. the smiting skills are great vs undead because they deal double damage.

getting lots of money isn't realy necessary to gain levels, the difference in decent eq that costs a few hundred gold to get and the high priced goodes isn't much, a weapon upgrade that gives +25 hp can be slmost free, while one that gives +30 hp can be 50-100k. It isnot the functionality of the item that determins the price, but the rarity.

The only kinda expensive investment i'd suggest buying is the new armors available at each city as you advance through the game.

Also think carefully before getting anything but minor runes to add to your armor, the -50 hp you get from major runes can often be a greater disadvantage then the +2 to the skill you gain. minor runes are also much cheaper.

Try to buy items from players for a little less then you could buy them from a store. if the merchant will sell fur square for 350, try offering 300 on the $ channel, and eventually someone will probably sell you some for that price.

never sell iron ingnots or wood you salvage from items for 3 each to the merchant, sell them for 9-10 each to other players, someone is almost always looking to buy them.

Save up your wood, then go to the guy outside of ascalon and get it made into parchment, for 5 wood, 20 gold, and a walk you can make a parchment worth 75-90 gold to a pc.

There are several ways to earn money in Guild Wars.

-Farming
A) Group Farming-when a group of allies go out into an area and kill enemies for items and gold. This can take a while, but it is worth it if you happen to come across runes or rare items. If you farm at Sorrow's Furnace, you might even find one of the coveted green items.
B) Solo Farming-Another way to farm is to go by yourself into an area where you can survive well and kill everything you find. This can be much more rewarding as you get to KEEP EVERYTHING FOR YOURSELF! However, this may be difficult in area where the enemies strength is near your own.
C) Henchie Farming-the least rewarding but fastest way to farm, this is when you take nothing but yourself and henchman in an area, and kill enemies. This may be a way to farm those harder areas, but you will not recieve as many drops as Soloing.

Low levels should be able to farm in the flame temple corridor, then trade in charr hides for fur squares, and sell those for 200g each. Thought yall should know.

Try the much overlooked Scoundrel's Rise (exiting from gates of kryta) by selling the items to a merchant i get about 1.5k+ each time. And since the highest monsters are lvl 17... its easy and u can do it alone (im a lvl 20 E/Mo).
The monsters sometimes drop gold/purple items and keys for the chest that randomly spawns. so u cld sell the purples and golds to players for more if u wanted.... In case you wanted to know, my build for farming here is:
aura of restoration
flame burst
fireball
meteor
phoenix
mending
healing breeze
