I had the joy of being on a UTComp server earlier, had a nice firefight, pressed my 5th mouse button which is binded to home for my rox/flak pipedswitch and... I was stopped dead as the UTComp menu came up, how convenient
I've just spent ages rebinding my keys because of this (the ages wasn't utcomp's fault, however needing to was) as I couldn't see anywhere obvious (ie utcomp.ini , my user.ini etc..) to be able to change the keys UTComp decides to hog regardless of whether or not I already use
Suggestion, include the ability to be able to change the keys UTComp binds itself to, and check before taking keys which may already be in use

UTcomp doesn't touch the home key at all, only f5, and only the first time you load it. If you rebind it to what you want it wont do it again.

Correct ut2vote42 does remap the home key.

a tip:
i use yghj for directions, so for my mouse button binds i make them like qwea or something... because i never hit those keys in a game, and mods are much less likely to use letter keys as binds like that... most would default to an F key or one of the six around Home...
