You can only get these archetypes upon reaching level 50 with a character, but does it have to be a hero that you reach 50 with, or can I open these archetypes with a level 50 villain?

As of right now, the level cap for villains is only 40. So technically speaking, no, villains can't unlock them. Although, I have heard that they are bumping up the level cap to 50, so I guess we will see. Maybe they'll have special archetypes for villains. Anyone got any news on newer archetypes?

First off, may I welcome you both to the gameamp forums!
Second, I'm near positive that the Kheldians will be CoH only. I think the CoV epic will be coralax, although I know nothing about them beyond their name.
CoH will be getting Avilans at some point. Avilans will be a winged AT, and another epic AT. CoH will apparently be getting Incarnates (like stateman/recluse) as well, but again, I have no idea about their abilities, or even if they really are coming.
I've CoV heard that CoV will also be getting an AT called "Blood of the Black Stream", the only thing I've heard about this is that it will be a shape shifting AT, although don't hold me to this...
CoV will also be geting Incarnates I believe.

Again, welcome to Gameamp. From what I understand, when the level cap is raised in CoV from 40 to 50 they will add a winged Archtype for lvl 50 Villians. I may be off base with this, but that is what I have been led to understand from what I have read.
If someone out there knows different, please chime in, inquireing minds want to know......

I read somewhere (I think it was wikipedia) that one of the CoV epics was going to be The Coralax... no idea, its all up in the air. :)
