The problem with the Battle Isles... 

Has anyone else noticed that it is easy to get to your Guild Hall, but difficult to leave since they made the battle isles on their own little map?

To get to your hall, all you have to do is click the button in your guild screen. If you want to leave, you have to map out to LA using the boat, them again to where ever you want to go. I think this is a little frustrating. True, it's only and extra keystroke and an extra click, but I liked it just fine the old way, where you could just press M, then click where you wanted to go.

Perhaps what they ought to add or change, is when you are currently in your Guild Hall, have the go to hall button change to a return to last area button.

there is a button like that, as long as u havent been to any other locations on battle islands, and your in guild hall, hit "G" to get up your guild stuff, then click "Leave Guild Hall" and you will go to the last location you were at :)

agh, that blows. I could have sworn I did it and it worked for me .... who knows, maby I was in LA when I did it :/ in that case, yes we really need a button or an option to leave the area without having to take the freaking ship to LA all the time :(

I suppose with the factions release there will be more ports. I'd hope so. Like droks, Ember light camp, Sanctum Cay, and Amnoon Oasis. All those places have docks in the town. I don't see why they wouldn't.

You're right though, I tried it and it does actually turn into a Leave Guild Hall button that takes you back to where you previously came from. It still doesn't help if you use that button to get to the guild hall from the battle isles. They need a better way of traveling than to have to go to LA first when leaving the battle isles.

I guess the Traveling to Lion's Arch will start to make more sense when the LA Equivalent in Cantha appears. Hmmm, maybe it's abbreviation will be NY :-)
But it is just a tad awkward I admit. I figured out out the "Leave Guild Hall" button, which is useful if you popped into the Hall for a trade and then want to go right back. Otherwise, the Battle Isle Map could do with a "Zoom out" feature.

Still, the Battle Isle's seem to be located somewhere of the current map of the world, maybe when you buy the Factions game, it'll be on that part of the world. Hmmm doesn't completely make sense either. As it's set up now, it's more like there will be three World Maps, Prophecies, Factions and Battle Isles. That does make a certain kind of sense again.

I like your idea of a zoom out feature. It doesn't have to be geographically correct. After all, any map of the US that I've seen always has and inlay of Alaska and Hawaii, so why not just pick an empty spot of the ocean on the map and make an inlay of the Battle Isles...

I agree. A couple days after the implimented the Battle Isles, it started racking on my nerves. Though, I find it odd just how much effort they seem to be putting in to make LA THE hub of the first chapter. Think about it:

That's where the Halloween event took place, and Christmas (or Wintersday, whatever). That's where Gail Grey always shows up. It's now where the Battle Isles connect to. Even before all that, it's where you get the Signet of Capture from first, and where you get the infamous Villainy of Galrath quest.

All they need to do to LA to really finish it off, is add some sort of money sink for High-lvl, rich people who have nothing to spend money on.

Can you imagine if it was a true MMORPG and you actually had to walk all the way to and from your Guild Hall... you think 2 clicks is a pain?

Yes, we're spoiled brats. But it was ArenaNet who spoiled us :-)
We're not talking about creating a new feature that will save us two clicks, basically my "Zoom Out" idea is nothing different from how it used to work. ArenaNet spoiled us, now took a teensy bit away and we're nagging about it :-)

I completely understand though... The greatest annoyance with it is when I'm on my laptop, I mean zoning can sometimes take 30 seconds and having to do it twice... :-o That's a whole minute...!
