| Disappointment at Chapter 2 |
|
|
|
Hi guys, i've been thinking for a while and only 2 new professions is a bit, ehm, low. I'd rather think about 3 new or something like that way, i also hope they do something against iway, like make ritualist a anti-iwayer :P
Anyway, what do all of you think about Chapter 2?
(Judge the game by the info you got at the moment!!)
I personally would say that i liked the original Guildwars more, since it was my first real MMORPG and it was sooooo cool that we can actually go where we want, yea whatever, just post your opinion about Chapter 2 alias GW:Factions
Grtz,Mike
~PS: I'd like to join the [AMP] Guild (Gameamp guild) i know levi treehugger (member @ amp), but i cant find the application form, thanks in advance.

Have you taken into account that Anet is planning on releasing another one in the third or fourth quarter of this year as well? With even more possible classes?
With just two more you get a number of new possiblities, plus they are giving us new skills. I think judging on the fact that you are only getting two more is a poor face to judge.
I am looking forward for it, hoping great things will come from it.

ok you are writing off chapter 2 before it's actually released!
you don't give the game a chance
what you should do is be more active and read more information
THEN critisize!
aranet is gonna do something about iway and there will be 2 new professions every 6-9 months!
read and judge then =/

Agree with Trabina... You cant judge anything before youve tried it yourself.
Anyways i think that chapter two is gonna be anything BUT a disappointment. 2 new classess is gr8, more skills, more weapons, more character slots, more quests and missions etc.
I am really looking forward to it! ! !
A-net has been doing a gr8 job at keeping players hooked to GW by updating frequently and now adding this expansion..

If your interested in joining the gameamp guild you need to post here.
I think its way too early to judge anything about chapter 2, ok there may be only 2 new professions but we haven't had a real chance to test them out properly especially in PvE, then theres all the combinations of classes that you can experiment with. Theres gonna be a whole new map to explore with plenty of quests and missions and don't forget extra skills for all classes.

I've played GW since June last year, and only now I'm starting to feel that I have an adequate understanding of all the six professions and their skills (with the current balance warrior is the most overpowered and elementalist the most underpowered profession). Throwing in two new professions and new skills to old ones will take time to digest, and if they do that again in six more months I will just give up because I cannot possibly keep up with the pace. I've got a real life and a family - I can't play 12 hours a day like some Koreans to learn new tricks, and if I don't have time to analyse the changes there's a streak of flawless defeats in order, and where's the fun in that?

How can you say that, we havn't even played the PvE yet.
Its going to have a totally new oriental theme, the old classes are getting heaps of new skills too. A whole new map to explore, new PvP arenas, a new factions system, brand new game mechanics with PvP intergrating into roleplaying, new guild halls, new armours, new wweapons, new missions, everything is going to change and you are complaining that there are only 2 new proffs.
LOL

I would be pleased with chapter 2 if they just added more missions, the two new professions are like bonuses for me.
Also IWAY is a very easy build to defeat, if you want to see if they are making rit or assassin an anti-iway prof, go to skills on gameamp and look at the skills for the new professions.

I think that the only dissapointment with Chapter 2 is the price point. If they plan on releasing a new chapter every 6 months it would be nice to see them drop the price at least a little. like maybe to the $20 - $30 range. Just woundering what anyone else thinks about that. But other than the price point, I can't wait for Chapter 2. And, yes, I have reserved it. God, I'm such a nerd.

Why can't people simply wait for it to come out before claiming that it's no good?
And GW features almost no role-playing aspects, making it a MMOG, not really a MMORPG. And for a MMOG, it's not that great. Best parts it has going for it are:
Superior graphics, balance, PvP, and no monthly fee.
If WoW had no monthly fee, I hate to say it, but I'd be playing that. Though GW sure beats R.O.S.E. Online. I also utterly despise EverQuest, so no matter what, I'd choose GW over it.

I have to, unfourtunatly, agree with you. I would probably be playing wow too. Though I would probably still play GW. Though, with all things considred, this is my favorite online game that I play, second would have to be Dioblo 2 expansion.

See the thing is, if WoW was free, it wouldn't be the same game. Just like if Guild Wars was pay to play it would be much different, and better of course. You can't compare the games like that because without the extra money, WoW would have much less features, and wouldn't have a consistent world like it does.

You do make a good point. I guess we really should think a little more before we start comparing other games to GW and visa versa.
