Ok, so ive seen posts referencing New UW and Old UW.
What is this "New UW?" and is there a different access point for it other than ToA statue of Grenth?

Havent been there but i believe its something to do with the tombs of primeval kings.

the access point fot the new UW is found in the ruins of the tombs of the primeval kings. the "old" UW remains the same.
in a sence the new UW is similar to SF as it drops greens.
but the new UW cannot be soloed in the same ways as the old, darknesses and stuff are pretty hard, and everything shatters enchantments

Rogue (or anyone else): The old UW cost 1k to get in, is the new UW 1k or is it free or a different price?

Yes, ectos do drop in the new UW and itsfree to get in, and greens drop at the end once u beat it all. I saw an ecto being dropped for one of my team mates when I was there.

Yes, ectos drop, seemingly more occuringly in the "new" UW, I've personally just started calling it tombs tho, as well as guildies, seeing as how only the first map can be considered UW. That way its more distinguishable from the actual UW.

ecto prices have dropped significantly because of the new UW being opened - they drop in there too
to get in you just walk through this black and purple portol. (it's free - and you usualy make 10k+ if you stick through the whole thing

The new UW is seperated in to four levels. Starts off in the UW then goes to another one (cant remember name). Then to the Courtyard, and the Hall of Heros. To get to the next level, you need to kill every creature in the current level.
Greens don't drop until the very last part, however ectos can drop in any of the three levels.

Personally i thinck the new uw is the worst idea yet . SF was a brilliant idea added whole new stuff to do and more hours . the new uw is boring repetitive and overall pointless only warrior items are worth anything above 40k and takes 3-5 hours to clear most people farming there dont have a clue what there doing i had a healer that thought he could tank and a tank that thought he could heal :P

After reading a bit of lore today, I have come to the realization that the place we call "new UW" isn't actually the UW at all. It is called the Rift and at the bottom of the Rift is the Hall of Heros. Perhaps it's time for a terminology change?
Grenth statues = entrance to the Underworld
Tomb of the Primeval Kings = entrace to the Rift
The old Hall of Heros PvP = Hero's Ascent

i think it's just a common thing to go along with whatever it's called by the majority (in this case "the new UW"

I like the Rift much better than the UW. No entry fee, and you don't have to wait for favor either.

i'm un-decided - the rift is more fun i think (it also requires alot more teamwork).
but then again i always have a blast (pun intended) when i go on a ranger trap team in the UW - it's just so cool to see everything explode
