Anyoen know of a good program for resizing images while keeping them in good quality? I have a few maps I need to inlarge but I suck at it. So a program I can get and/or guide would be really helpful.

Howdy,
The King of graphics programs is Print Shop Pro (you can get a fully functional 30day copy from their website).
Just do a search for "print shop pro x" and you will find the site very easily.
Remember if you enlarge a map you will get a grainy look unless the original has a good DPI (dots per inch). Most photos etc on the net are at 72 DPI which is not very good for enlarging, I am not sure what DPI screens from DDO are.
Hope that helps.

The map you posted is at 100 DPI and you start losing detail quickly especially with the lettering.
What size do you require????

Was just hoping to get it big enough to actully be able to read. Wanted to use it for what I'm writting up on Eberron. But if it's going to come out looking not so hot, don't worry about it.

Just took another look at it and tried to get it where you can read the text on the map etc..... no go.. it blurs out almost instantly.
Did you scan this or pull it from another site??? If another site, give me the URL and I'll see if there is a better on there.
Thats about all I can assist on.

This is as far as I could go with GimpShop. The problem is mainly that the original image was a highly compressed JPG to start with.

Hey now that you have a high res version I kept the viewability but cut the overall size down to 700k instead of the 4 megs, I just dont have a place to host it. If you want it PM me your email and I'll send it. And nice short history by the way.
*edit* and yes I do know a great program for resizing... it is photoshop and the save for web function... but unless you know a friend that will "loan their services" or want to spend a few hundred dollars it isn't terribly viable.

Send it to lani@gameamp.com and I'll set it up on the site here. There arne't any copyright violations involved I assume?
And for a good free alternative to Photoshop or Paintshop, try Gimpshop.

There should be no copy right laws as the pics I'm useing are hosted on the WotC website and for the most part are allowed to be taken by players. Any maps I use not from the WotC are scans I've done. So should all be good and thanbks for all the help

Sure you do. In your profile there is an image gallery that holds an unlimited amount of pictures. Put it in there and *bam* it is hosted.

Very nice sig :-)
As to Screenshot submissions, you go to the Screenshot Section, then look for a link Add Image somewhere on the top right of the page's main content block. Clicking on that will get you to an upload page.
It'll also explain that screenshots need to be reviewed by staffers prior to being shown. Generally a formality, but we do get the occasional "funny guy" submitting inappropriate stuff.
