Well I just bought my copy of Gw and was wondering if any of you could give me tips. Which would save me time on learning all the info From the beginning. I think im going to be building a Mo/W For Farming purposes, after having looked at some of the videos and guides. Oh yes and don't be afraid to use Rpging games terms because I have played the FF Series since FF:VIII and Have also been playing CoH/CoV The past Year. On another note Ill be looking for an active, friendly guild to join. To help me on my way to learning this game which I hope to be staying with for a while.
Many thanks Aticus_13

Why don'tyou wanna play the game from the beginning of you'd just started with it?
I mean, if you have like 3 lvl20's like me and have done every single quest a couple of times it may be nice to get a runner to Crystal Desert or Droknars Forge, but you are still new. Play the game.
Also, i might get big time -cred for this but alot of people will suggest that you join Gameamp Guides, but it aint acctually a helpful guild, if that is what you're looking for.

What I meant was that I Don't want to be making any noob mistakes on my Character if I get hi mfairly High. Liek on CoH It took me awhile to realise that Haste nwas actually more useful Than Flurry (Which All Coh/Cov players wil ltel lyou to avoid)Not that I wanted To cut any corners of course not.

OK, While in Pre-Searing, if you find a "Vial of Dye [any color] NEVER sell it there, wait until you get to Post Searing, so you know the exact prices of them.
If you find a good weapon, ask for "price check" be4 selling it, but never sell it to the one who gave you the PC.
If you find a Golden Armor, use expert salavage kit, not the salavge kit.
Never buy another players armor, even if its better. All armor get customized to the person who buys it, so if you buy it from another players you wont be able to wear it.
can't come up with anything specific more than this atm.

Alright, here's a tip, when you finish the quest"cities of ascalon", you get a -50hp grim cesta. You can sell this item for a couple thousand gold.

Couple? I see people willing to pay up to 15k for the thing. I don't understand why they dont just make a new character and do everything to get the item then stick it in storage and delete. Shouldn't take more than an hour to an hour and a half.
Can I get a PC?
No! Buy your own damn personal computer, dammit!

I thought that the -50hp Grim Cesta was discontinued? Tell me if I'm wrong, but when I got the quest, it doesn't give the -50hp, unless it doesn't tell you all the stats...

Wulfgar, the -50hp item is still there, it just doesn't show all the stats in the list. But once you get it, it's the real thing.
Aticus, don't worry about screwing up in this game. The great thing about GW is that you can always change your build. There is no set in stone choices, except for primary profession. You can always change your attributes and later on you will be able to change your secondary profession. So just try what you feel is cool, then you can easily adjust later if you want to.
Oh, and don't make your first char based on farming methods. You will be able to change your char later to suit that. Just concentrate on doing well in the storyline.

In pre a smite/heal is an ok build as there are only two people allowed in a group, but later in the game you may want to choose to lean more on one of thsoe then the other.
If you choose to be more of a smiter, prepare to have people assume ytou are a healer when joining groups. MAke sure if you choose that that the group knows you are a smiter.
If you lean towards healer, be prepared for some idiots thinking they can rush in and outside your casting range and expect yout o keep them alive.
Those are my Monk tips.

I think they're full, and a lot of us would also like to be members... so don't be too dissappointed if you don't get in... :D

Save up your skill points for skills you need or want... the cost of buying skills goes up to 1000gp fairly quickly - This can get very costly on your first chracter, especially if you waste them on skills for an attribute you don't use.
Concentrate on buying skills for your primary attribute, if you're a monk, that's usually Healing... For some reason people expect it :/

Heres a tip, any quest that offers skills, do it, even if you dont need the skill, because its nice to have as many as possible for later use on pvp only characters. Also, do the misions in order, pay attention to the storyline, and dont get any runs. I also recommend not using henchies, because you learn more from real people. And, if you don't already know, learn what agro is.

The order of rarity in items goes (rarity is pretty much text color):
White - Common
Blue - Uncommon (Some mods, but mostly Salvage or Precious mods)
Purple - Rare (Some ok/good mods)
Gold - Very Rare (good/great mods on these)
Green - Unique (Can only be found in three places later in the game and have only "perfect" mods)
"Perfect mods" are mods that have the highest possible stats. That's basically it.
Edit: typo
